Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

The Land Raider was "inspired" by a Judge Dredd comic (plus WW1 tanks), where it was named thus because it was... uh a raider that they drove over land between MC1 and MC2.
I guess that the Arkhan Land thing was invented later to distance it from the Judge Dredd one, I have no problems with that, especially it's a nice touch that Land himself was annoyed that people didn't understand it was named after him. A little piece of meta humor.
I really don't get all the whining about Primaris.
They exist for one main reason: Existing space marines were too small. Added to that, a soft-reboot of the range would allow both a subtle aesthetic redesign that can take full advantage of modern design techniques, and an opportunity to do something slightly different with squad setups, etc.
The fluff exists in order to justify original models and the newer models existing together. That's it. It could have been better written, no doubt, but GW bodged a way for oldmarines players to still use their armies, and even add to them.
That's it.
As for all the Cawl stuff, I don't care how inconsistent with your own headcanon it is. He's a good character that writers can have some fun with.
My first thought was hair, but when I tried to think what kind of mini would have a goblin thing trapped in a hair-cell, came up completely blank. Spider web? Fire? Smoke? Magic? Nothing else seems to fit.
GiToRaZor wrote: If it really is a Kasrkin (or at least a Stormtrooper), I am wondering where that put's the Scions in the future. The build for 40K has so far been, that you stick the odd units in a seperate detachment, to keep their unique abilities or have them in your army's main detachment sans unique rules. Kasrkin and Stormtroopers are sort of competing and if the IG dex needs one thing it's trimming down of the 4+ elite small units, not getting more of them.
But who am I kidding, if this is true, I can finally field my Grenadiers again under regimental rules.
I wonder the same thing, especially since I'm sitting on a shelf or two of Arbites in need of a rules home.
Maybe... Scions move to elite, Kasrkin as troops with infiltrate (an old Strom Trooper ability) but not deep strike?
Or maybe it's just a sneaky way to improve the Scion box? They're not bad models but just a terrible value for the money.
Kasrkin with 10 to a box and multiple special weapons (and shotguns? shotguns please?) would far outsell the 5 man Scion box.
Don't know why we need a new Sentinel though. What's wrong with the current one? It took all four varieties of Sentinel (vanilla, Catachan, Armoured/Cadian, Enclosed/Steel Legion) and combined them into a single kit and added Plasma Cannons and Missile Launchers as options.
Like the Valkyrie and Chimera 2 it's just a really great kit flexible with all the options, and good for scratch building. I hope they're not making it obsolete. The only issue I have is the current price.
A bigger meaner tanky sentinel (the Sentry?) would be cool, maybe a 4 legged one?
My guess would be a drop sentinel for the Kasrkin, but that's just a guess.

I don't think I've been this stumped by the Rumour Engine before
Its a baby vampire in the curtains of a window or a door (you can see the arch along the side). What's to be stumped by?
Would a baby vampire be a Vampire Brat?

Baby vampire, sure. But where you see curtains others see a beard. What you call an arch may just as easily be part of the phantom giant of the opera's mask.

Those aren't supposed to be imps, they're supposed to be full sized Beastmen because Shaggoths are meant to be enormous(like the size of mountains).

... what?
how does the phantom of the opera come into anything?

Because the phantom's mask only covers one side of his face and the thingy in the picture is also only on one side?
