I reckon that to be some sort of dark hearted elf. Reason why I do done reckon so, is that it's a dodgy pose, the knee is bent at a bit of a weird angle which suggests some funky elf pose, probably doing some sort of action leap.

Could the reused pic be part of a new Giant....Minotaur? Possibly for beasts of Chaos. Get rid of the Cygor kit, or just add a sprue to the Mega Gargant to have Mega-taur or Cygortaur.

They removed the preview and replaced it with something else. Chances are that uploading that was an error, because that part is already out.

On twitter/fb/wherever they were saying the gargant bit is part of a new model even though it's old.

I’m going with sleeve elbow and arm rather than leg there.

And as we know, GW's Facebook page is always correct about everything.

The fact that they replaced it almost immediately with a new pic is also a good indication of it being a new part.

Yes, but then someone I saw saying that it is part of a new kit, so use the main part of the Mega Gargant but have a new separate sprue for the Minotaur head and cloven feet that fit the already released kit. Obviously the people taking pictures of the painted model aren’t gamers and didn’t know that part is from the sprue said used in another kit.

It would be like how the released the Chaos Rhino well after the rhino kit was out for imperial forces. They just swapped the Chaos accessory sprue for the imperial one. Then someone not knowing any better takes a picture of the tracks.

I think it could still be a new kit, but nothing Minotaur-y, it’ll be either a new mega-Gargant variant, or a special character one, like how the Imperial Knight kit was updated a couple of times with more weapons and a special character. The chances of it being to use as a model for a different faction is pretty slim, imo.

I think the mega gargant bit is from a new kit simply because the paint job is different. It's pretty rare for eavy metal to paint the same kit twice, especially something big like a mega gargant. I'm expecting something like Canis Rex but for Sons of Behemat.

It almost looks like some of the leather sheathes that are on the Kroot models; I’m going with an Ashwastes beast of burden.

The gear pile 2022-02-08 is also from the Ash Wastes terrain. Interestingly the weird industrial boots/cyborg leg weren't solved, so still some hope these are squats ...

Ah! Yeah it's somehow similar but the rumour engine is kind of a normal boot attached to a bionic leg while the BA character has a ... bionic foot?

So, five years in planning for Ash Wastes? Quite a timeline.

With how long some of the rumor engines take to make it to release, I'm not surprised. I wonder if they had some proof readers go through the new books in that time...

The accidental upload will have just been because they have a pool of photos and when they come up and that one accidentally got in there or something.

Facebook easily explained by them thinking well if it’s posted it must be new so doubled down on it being correct and such..

Well, this does not match the aesthetic of the now-previewed Ash Wastes nomads (who have chain-lances), so with the main competition eliminated I think we can be pretty confident of a Rough Rider variant of some kind.

Personally, I hope it is not Death Riders, and includes options to equip the riders with hunting lances, lasguns, shotguns, or laspistol + CCW as used to be an option in the Rough Rider rules. Having the generic option to build various different styles of cavalry would be great for modelling opportunities. I'd like some lasgun-equipped dragoons meself.
