A Warhound Titan. Every time I get close to pulling the trigger on one, the thought of that much faffing with resin just puts me off.
Get an engineering designer in, and make it properly posable (I'm thinking legs much more than arms).
Sell it for under £200 and I'll buy three (eventually).

I second the plastic 40k civilians idea. I'd like to see models across the social strata- maybe a couple of character models based around nobles/high ranking officials, and then a sprue with a mix of labourers (maybe in overalls or mining suits) and office workers (basically administratum staff). Civilian servitors would also be brilliant.
A plastic cargo lander that is actually capable of carrying the munitorum containers would also be great. Something like the craft in the Dawn of War games that drops crates into the Imperial Guard buildings when they are constructing tanks- it has an appearance like a larger Valkyrie Sky Talon.
Edit: this thing:

Stuff that is in the Black Library books ALL THE TIME but never shows up in the models. Some of this is stuff other people have mentioned:
40K Civilians. The Necromunda Hired Guns are pretty darn good, but all of them are armed, and maybe too multipart for 'walk on extras'. Just some civvies we can rescue, or terrify, or eat.
A Cargo-8 Hauler. Mentioned all the damn time--never on the table. Maybe the Ash Wastes will help this.
Imperial Bikes and Quads. The Cultists loot them from the local militia/PDF--did they loot every single one of them? Why don't we have Guard Outriders on Bikes and quads?
Imperial civilian vehicles. We fight over ruined cities all the time--but those ruined cities include no wrecked cars, wrecked buses, or wrecked trains? I don't even have to have full kits (though I would like them). Some ruined vehicle scatter terrain would be cool, on all those blasted urban streets.

Well, given that there's numerous other companies making this type of stuff (either as models or 3d files), it's not like you couldn't solve this problem with a few mouse clicks & a credit card.

I'd love to see this. They could still be pretty strange and creepy looking too. Just not armed.

That's true--but the OP specified a plastic wish list--not a list of stuff I can buy in resin.

I'd love to see re-vamps of a lot of the older Middle-Earth kits. Some of them have not aged well at all (plus some more specialized models are only available in metal or resin). They are slowly starting to bring out new models of characters in plastic (starting with Theoden in the Pelennor Fields box), but there are a lot of models that need this treatment.

I'd also like to see civilian models and rules but I doubt we ever will given the controversial nature of doing so.
As for Squats, I really couldn't give a damn. Perhaps I got into the hobby a bit late but I don't get the hype at all. What I would like to see is more emphasis on existing characters. Dark Eldar got nuked in terms of characters and it's a shame that they won't bring them back. Same with a number of Marine characters; they could easily do a better plastic version of Dante or Azarel, instead we get random new Primaris characters. There was some success with Black Templars but some armies are still lacking.

The Necromunda market would have been a perfect time to throw in a merchant or two. 2 bodies, 4 heads, and Bob's your uncle.
I had no interest in awnings and stalls but a few good merchants or a street sweeping servitor and I'd have been all over it.
Ah well.

Plastic Guard---> Infantry Kit, HWT, Command Squad, Unique Character, Generic Character.
I'd like to see that formula for Praetorians, Catachans, Armageddon Steel Legion and Krieg.
Plastic Akarian Pattern Stormblade
Plastic Malcador Battle Tanks
Plastic Mars Pattern Alpha Leman Russ's
Armageddon Pattern Basilisk/Medusa
All remaining Eldar Phoenix Lords and Aspect Warriors, including Warp Spider Phoenix and the FW unit+Character in Plastic.
Plenty of Terrain options. Tau, Eldar, Necron, Chaos specific terrain. AoS options. I wish GW would build a Terrain division and really go wild with it. They've put out some incredible stuff over the last few years.

I reckon someone like North Star/Stargrave or Wargames Atlantic will do one eventually. It's just a matter of time!
I've been using some of the Copplestone minis in the meantime, although they are probably a bit better suited to retro/rogue trader 40k and 2000AD settings than they are modern 40k perhaps.

I find it hard to weep for decade+ old kits. I mean if you didn't pick them up in the last 10 years how much do you need them.
But some of the stuff that vanishes in under a year is just weird. So yeah.

It would be nice if they offered a made-to-order service where stuff out of regular production is kept in a back catalogue and a run is done once a certain threshold of orders is hit to make it worth it (I'm not sure where this would be, but GW already has the masters, so it is really just a case of what number of sprues would be worth shifting a line to this OOP product for a bit). The waiting times would often be enormous but in a customer base full of collectors I'm sure many would use it.

I agree with Haighus. In the case 9f metal models i understand mold deterioration is an issue and makes such models unlikely to be rereleased later. Though the MTO program is nice if you happen to catch it.
But metal molds have considerably more longevity. Eldar falcon is how old now? Yeah, thats what i thought.
So in the same vein as MTO, a run of old plastic could be done, of course at their newly inflated prices, in order to provide a product that GW could absolutely still profit from instead of that profit go to arbitrage brokers online.
And consodering how cheap it is to make a metal mold nowadays, its not like they could reproduce most things in plastic and go through a wide rotation of tbese same items. We know this is a fact, or gw would not produce a limited run plastic kit where a couple thousand people catch it, for that model to go out of production.
Anything else is just apologetics for artificial scarcity. Yay FOMO, amirite?

Well with the Cargo 8 coming I can tick off the "Imperial guard Troop Truck" box.
Been thinking a bit about Wargames Atlantic's Death Fields, it's a neat idea, historical armies kidnapped by aliens and fighting for their amusement. A perfect excuse for Brits in Space or Napoleon in Space or whatever.
I would love some fully armored knights (in space). Might be doable with Perry Knights and Star Grave arms but a real kit would be awesome. Samurai and Ninja too, but I mentioned that. Maybe US Civil War in Space? Sikhs? Space Viet Cong?

Orky vehicle creation kit bits. Like a set of parts for cabs, frames, wheels, engines, gubbinz. Just a ton of that stuff that’s pretty generic with maybe even some swappable stuff on the parts, perfect for making your plasticard buggies look just that bit better.

That imperial bunker in the photo, just off to the left. I'd love to see a kit like that, with connectable trenches and fixed turret positions (both Automatic and Manual positions) available as terrain. Maybe a command center piece and stuff like barbed wire fencing, tank traps, barrels and sand bags for scatter terrain.

It is an oath we honour. Fun thread (I don't check outside of News & Rumours and the painting forums on Dakka, should change that tbh) and an absolute dream come true, from a GW perspective, would be an all plastic release of the ol' Forgeworld Marienburg Landship for the Empire, along with an updated Steam Tank to go with it.
I'd also REALLY like to see NuGw's take on the Dark Eldar's more exotic characters and creatures (though there are many, many quality 3rd party kits to fill this role these days) yet a Sslyth heavy kill team and character or two would be the icing on the cake! Space Yuan-Ti, snake people needs to be more of a thing, especially if they're kitted out in Dark Eldar armor!

On further reflection, I would really like to see plastic kits for so-far I represented historical cultures or mythologies. Some Mahabharata or Ramayana inspired Indian warriors, Benin or Mali Warriors, Incas, Assyrians, Levantine, SEAsian and others would be exciting.

If you are assembling them as aliens with 4 or 6 legs, it’s not so bad at all. The first pair are the ones with square tabs that fit (better with a bit of trimming) into the only square receptacles on the thorax. These just also happen to be the two legs with flat connection points. So glue them to the thorax and to the base and let the assembly harden before adding any other limbs and you’re good.
You don’t need the abdomen or all the legs for an alien, and in fact can use the thorax, mask bits, and extra legs to make more aliens if you want.
