The US Open 2022 Grand Narrative Finale is taking place in New Mexico this weekend. It’s a celebratory capstone for this year’s Warhammer Open series – so we’ll be covering the event on the Warhammer Twitch Channel as it happens, including a Warhammer Preview with something for all Warhammer fans.

Amid a series of games to crown 2022’s overall North American champions of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, some cracking hobby classes, and the Grand Narrative Event that could help shape the future of the 41st Millennium, attendees will also be treated to an exclusive early preview event.

There will be juicy reveals for Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Necromunda, and Warhammer Underworlds – which we’ll post on this website straight after the event concludes in New Mexico.

You can catch all the details on Saturday. Fair warning to our fans in the UK and Europe – you’re going to have to get up pretty early for this one… Tune in at 4am GMT on the 19th of November.

This is the last major preview event of the year and there are some surprises in store. That said, there may also be a few festive treats under our digital tree when the end of the year rolls around…

The preview isn’t the only thing being broadcast from the Grand Narrative Finale. We’ll have tournament action, commentary, and much more besides.

Huzzah, more shinies?

On a Friday morning as well, which works for me. I think its safe to assume that it'll be Arks of Omen that'll be mentioned, although no idea about the other games.

Maybe they will show that new Gloomspite crew for Underworlds?

World eaters and arks of omen for 40k I reckon. If there is a 2nd marine codex and the remaining 9th edition marine supplements coming then maybe we get a teaser or road map for that (but no actual reveals).

I also feel safe saying we get some more necromunda vehicles for the ash wastes.

I have no idea what to expect from underworlds or sigmar.

40k is probably the unrevealed units for WE; jakhals, eightbound, and alt build for the juggerlord kit. Also the army box if there is one.
They might also show the teased zerg dark mechanicum character from the last preview.

Is there any new Slaves to Darkness stuff left for them to show for AOS? If not I'd guess whatever is the next book.

My guesses:

40k
Ark of Omens stuff, Arkifane for sure. Maybe another character tease or reveal. Full World Eaters reveal. New matched Play season missin pack and... I'm guessing that's it? Doesn't seem like there is much left for 40k for the next few months unless something comes out of nowhere.

AOS:
Current Roadmap is complete. so anything goes at this point. Death really needs some help, and as a Hedonites fan I'd love to see their update. Order and Destruction are mostly complete.

Hopefully bonereapers book for aos and the rumoured ranged unit. Ridiculous that one bonereaper from underworlds has a bow but no one else does?

The battletome is now a mess of errata and updates.

Most AoS rumors say Gloomspite and KO are next up, and in another of those head-to-head boxed sets... so I expect to see that box.

Gloomspite is still without 3rd ed update of any kind. Only faction without one. So hoping gits get good news finally.

Hmm. Hopefully the halloween preview of the warriors, exalted hero and lord on daemonic steed were enough that they don't repeat them.
Pretty sure that's it, beyond getting stuff back in stock.

So it should be unseen stuff for next year.

What in 40k 9th and AoS 3 (or whatever it is on) have we got left to get a current book?

Necromunda characters or the next book/gangs vehicle preview etc would be great, but unsure.

Underworlds, yeah I guess it’s these little goblins.

For AOS it's gloomspite, kharadron, slaanesh, beast of chaos, khorne, flesh eater court, vampires, cities of sigmar, seraphon and bonereapers.

10/24 still missing book. Though at least 9 of those have got WD update.

Also there's likely new army coming sooner or later. Malekith's forces been rumoured and hinted very long.

Aos was already covered, but for 40k, in theory nothing.
Though the bulk of Guard isn't coming until next year (including the book by itself, if I read the boxset preorder announcement correctly), and obviously World Eaters are happening, and there will always be a desire for excised factions to come back (inquisition, lost FW factions, etc).

Spring is probably just going to be wheel spinning with the space Ark books.

I think the big thing with AoS is how much further off Cities of Sigmar are. GW has teased concept art for them and its clearly a huge release, but at the same time they can tease concept work and be far further along with actual design and production.

If Cities are close they'll either preview some stuff or AoS might feel a bit muted as things settle before the Cities storm.

If Cities is a long way off still then anything is game.

Kind of sad to not see AT appearing in the lineup. I still keep hoping that we see some movement there, though I worry that Necromunda doing so well might have stolen AT's thunder (and design and production slots).

Necromunda still has the Escher bikers to come so that's one thing that they might preview that could get a slot before Christmas or soon after.

I imagine we'll get the next campaign book previewed for Necromunda, along with the Cawdor Flintstone cars and Van Saar Spider-Vehicles (just assuming - Escher already got the hover vehicle). Maybe some new terrain if we're lucky.

40k? More World Eaters plus the start of the not-Psychic Awakening stuff.

Remember: GW previews are like regular previews, but in slow-motion. Whatever you think would be at a regular preview, GW doles out over three previews.

I'm feeling this too. Would love to just see confirmation that assault marines are coming.

As it is, 40k just has Arks of Omen and World Eaters that we know are coming but don't know the details on beyond that, so we could see more details of those.

For Necromunda, only Goliath, Escher, and Orlock have gotten vehicles. That leaves Delaque, Cawdor, and Van Saar, as well as any support they may give Nomads or maybe possibly somehow Corpsegrinder Cult.

For AoS, we're a year and a half in by now and if they stick to the 3 year edition pipeline, they've got the other half of the factions to at least give a book. Of those...

Factions that have gotten little more than endless spells and maybe a character since AoS began:
Skaven
Flesh Eater Courts
Seraphon
Beasts of Chaos
Ogors
Cities of Sigmar

Brand new factions that have mostly new models but have only really gotten one release since AoS began:
Idoneth Deepkin
Daughters of Khaine
Kharadron Overlords
Fyreslayers
Ossiarch Bonereapers
Maggotkin of Nurgle
Desciples of Tzeentch

Factions that got a big update but still have a lot of old models that need some love:
Gloomspite Gitz
Soulblight Gravelords

Factions that are in a good spot and don't need much else other than a book if they haven't gotten one yet:
Stormcast Eternals
Sylvaneth
Lumineth Realm Lords
Blades of Khorne
Hedonites of Slaanesh
Nighthaunt
Orruk Warclans
Sons of Behemat

With the rate at which GW have been updating AoS, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes the rest of 3rd edition and the whole of 4th edition to get big chunks of the model lines updated that really need it.
