If Cities are close they'll either preview some stuff or AoS might feel a bit muted as things settle before the Cities storm.
If Cities is a long way off still then anything is game.
Kind of sad to not see AT appearing in the lineup. I still keep hoping that we see some movement there, though I worry that Necromunda doing so well might have stolen AT's thunder (and design and production slots).
Necromunda still has the Escher bikers to come so that's one thing that they might preview that could get a slot before Christmas or soon after.
I can’t see what about the Escher bikes they can preview, just rules or something you mean?
I think AoS could be good just to get a road map, then maybe models of the next closest.
Cities presumably further out as they said they’d update us along the way as we go. If they were then just coming out, that all seems a waste. Maybe some more parts shown, or even the first models actually ready etc.

This is what they said when they revealed Dawnbringer Crusades at Warhammer Fest in May:
We’ve even managed to procure a sneaky peek at some of the early miniature renders that the studio is working on right now.* These are some of the insignia, emblems, and symbols that will come with your models to demonstrate their rather macabre dedication to the God-King.
If we take GW at their word and these are early renders that were actually worked on in April or May, we can be fairly sure that we won't see a Dawnbringer Crusade release for another year. Sisters of Battle started getting substantial previews about half a year before the first release. The conservative take is that the upcoming preview is way too early to see anything for Dawnbringer Crusades that is of any substance. Adepticon or Warhammer Fest next year are better starting points for GW to show full models renders.

That is assuming that the early renders are brand new, and not just literal early renders, but from a while back. They were showing off early renders for World Eaters before the pics for them dropped, so Dawnbringer could be a lot further along in development, but they are just teasing with early stuff for now before they are ready to do a full reveal.

His point being the renders could have been done lot earlier(say last year) so actual models could be done by now and full release sooner than we think so they could appear now.
Sob took about 1.5 years( iirc) from first renders to release but dawnbringer could be shorter time even with same or even longer development time but previews done in different spacing.
You said it's too early. Maybe work is further than you think and stuff is already on printers or already printed and ready to ship?

I'm 99% percent sure that the whole cities range has been designed, painted and photographed. In fact it was probably all done before the first announcement. The current rumours are saying that the book will be out in the first half of next year, so the book was probably already finished in May. GW designers have said numerous times that the minis are done two years ahead of time with the books being finished a year ahead of time.
We saw the same thing with the World Eaters. Official teases of renders followed almost immediately by leaks from a finished book.
The minis that GW designers are working on now are for 4th edition.

So you're all assuming that when GW said this (emphasis mine) in the Warhammer Fest preview in May...
We’ve even managed to procure a sneaky peek at some of the early miniature renders that the studio is working on right now.
... they're just lying to us for no reason whatsoever? Alright then.

Beyond attributing malicious intent to anyone. It's very possible whoever write the articles for warcom/reveal event doesn't know or can't say anything about any finished products.
Wouldn't be the first time warcom is wrong about something. We all remember the Autarch fiasco

Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying, though the reason is pretty obvious. They want to hype up a new project by giving some hints before unveiling the full range. The audience get bored if they see a new thing too early. A new Primarch is coming but after the initial excitement there's barely a ripple of anticipation left. The World Eaters thread is already full of disappointment. They have said numerous times that sculpting is finished two years before launch. I'm pretty positive that the sisters minis were finished by the time they started battle sister bulletin. The early design work they shared was exactly as it appeared on the final models, which strongly suggests that it was already complete and not actively being worked on. This doesn't bother me. It's all advertising, which you should never take at face value.

The Autarch situation is only comparable if you don't ask why Warhammer Community got it wrong. There was a clear conflict between miniature designers' intent for the models and the rules writers' execution of the unit entry. Warhammer Community conceivably went to the wrong source and didn't think to check with the other one. Shouldn't happen, but plausibly could happen. And since they made that mistake, it probably did.
Where's the conflict here? There's no other party involved than the miniatures designers. Either the marketing guys got the correct information from them and the sculptors were working on those renders at the time, or the marketing guys had no information relating to that whatsoever and no reason to include it.

There's a difference between marketing telling you the new army is the bestest ever and that the new plastic Thunderhawk is going to go up for a pre-order on Saturday and shows up in stores a week later. Advertising is a mix of facts and... alternate facts. Treating everything as the latter doesn't help if you're looking for information just as making everything the latter doesn't help in providing information to the customers.
As for the rest, well, you're certainly free to believe that.

The vehicle nonsense is likely to go on for at least another nine months or so since three houses still need theirs, but with both the crawler resin upgrade and the fuel tank trailer coming as Monday previews, I think we won't see any large vehicle in this preview. Just another house vehicle. But we are thematically in the Ash Wastes now, so until the houses are wrapped up I wouldn't expect anything too far removed from that. At least not in plastic.

They already revealed the faction symbol for the next underworlds warband and its 100% gobbos. Just a matter of what the composition is.

Yeah, we have 1 warband for night gobbos, 1 warband for trolls, so 3rd could be as well made of spider riders. Or there could be squig riders because why not?

rumors say it's a labyrinth-style goblin band. I guess they mean goblins with more armor similar to the loonboss.
maybe also for AoS they announce that the next book is for goblins?
