Best guess, they want to keep the Monday reveal going, but we're getting close to the Christmas release gap and they don't want to show off anything yet that will only be released in the new year. So they're rationing the few things that are still to come this year.
Nehekhara lives! Sort of!
Why is the rum always gone?

Necron codex 9th was released 2020. After that there's not been much room for necron releases. Unlike in days of metal models GW doesn't generally just release models randomly but tied to some book.

Could be anything from just production slot access or perhaps the teaser is from a 3D design and they found some issues with parting and casting the model in plastic.
It's too close to release for that. By the time of the Warhammer Day previews, the production mould for that model would have been finished for a release this side of Christmas. I imagine they just wanted to have some models left to show off over these next few weeks.

It's important to note the context here.
The Rumor Engine is two years old at this point.
Not quite, but darn close. I suppose it's possible they kept it until now just to be funny. I wondered if maybe the trailer wasn't quite finished or someone lost a file and it had to be remade.
Honestly looks kinda 40K to me. Big ol’ drum mag, squared off bits above the pistol grip and what looks like an armour plate on the back of that glove.

GW still hasn't learn the basic that a bow/crossbow limb bent when the string is pulled. That's like...basic common sense, much less research than..horse and ballet poses.

It's honestly not just GW - a LOT of archery models show the bow in the same position no matter where the string/arrow are pulled too and such. Sometimes its because there's a few bows (eg recurve) which can look "wrong" and look "loose" when actually pulled tight; but the general lack of any variation across a model set means that most times I think its that bows are just treated like swords with 1 position.
I'd like it to be something Inquisitorial related, but given that the overwhelming majority of Inq releases are just more special characters, it's probably something AoS or, at best, Necromunda.
Mentlegen324 wrote: it's very similar to the one used by Inquisitor Greyfax, even down to having a drum magazine (for the bolt pistol).
Worth mentioning that the drum seems to be for darts.
I'm sticking with GSC. Dunno why, but the vibe is making me think of a compact, concealable bit. Like the adorable little handbow they gave Ray Stevenson in Punisher: War Zone.
I'ts not similar to Grayfax condemnor boltgun, the limbs and bolt are of completely different design. Grayfax use the Sororitas pattern, which is similar to the Canoness, Sister Superior, and similar limbs to Sister Novitiate Stakethrower.
