Them having demos doesn't mean jack. You're letting confirmation bias make you think you actually have a definitive answer as to the release dates.
Warhammerfest, which is April 29th to May 1st, is also having demos.
Does that mean that the preorder will be May 13th?
No it means that the release date rumours still lime up with the kansas event. It means it won't be in people's hands by 4th June. It tells you a lot, it doesn't confirm a release date.
It tells you literally nothing. It just tells you that they're not going to force a tournament use new rules.
You're getting too angry about something irrelevant
Don't pretend to know my moods. I'm not angry. I just find it ridiculous to presume that it will 100% be June.
you've also been confidently wrong on these sorts of things before.
I've also been proven right on things, and yet I don't harp on that gak.
Why did you trim the rest of the post?
I'm not the one claiming that the KC Open having a demo means that the preorders start the next week. Given how much of this edition is supposed to be digital, there's literally nothing stopping them from doing preorders for the Big Box in May, then releasing the physical indices and cards in June alongside of Seraphon.

It just says "Rapid Fire" for the Bolter, which doesn't mean anything since the weapon rule "Rapid Fire X" does X extra shots within half range. (Unless Rapid Fire defaults to 1 if no value is specified, but that seems a little convoluted.)

No, they're saying that the KC open having demo sessions and Q&A sessions and it being the first place US players can experience the edition, shows its not going to be for sale and in public hands.
I'd like you refute that please. Then when you add in that staff have centralised training sessions the first 2 weeks of June apparently and leave has been restricted for the back end of June, can you not perhaps see why people might be taking this as a degree of confirmation?
Regards your mood, if you're not angry that's OK and sorry for assuming, but you don't need to be on the offensive either.

Correction: The smashing new edition of Warhammer 40,000 is getting closer by the day, and attendees at Warhammer Fest 2023 will be the first in the world to get to play it. Fans in North America are not being left out, however. Attendees at the Kansas City Open just a month later – from the 2nd to the 4th of June – will be able to try this fantastic new game system out for themselves. Full demo games will run all weekend – anyone can walk up and participate. Our event staff will also present nightly exhibition games you can spectate and ask questions during, featuring the full rules of the new edition in Strike Force* clashes over brand-new missions in both casual and competitive formats. Got questions about the new edition? We’ll do our best to answer your most incisive queries at Q&A sessions, and you’ll also be able to see loads of incredible new Space Marine and Tyranid miniatures in person, including the <REDACTED>, <REDACTED>, and hotly anticipated <REDACTED>!
They don't say that it's the "first place" for US players. Just that demos will run. I'd like you refute that please. Then when you add in that staff have centralised training sessions the first 2 weeks of June apparently and leave has been restricted for the back end of June, can you not perhaps see why people might be taking this as a degree of confirmation?
What region is that centralised training for? Is it the same most years? Kidding, June is usually when they do centralised training here in the US even when there's not a new edition coming. Blackout days aren't just for new editions, but also for major codex launches and other big boxed products.

The trench fighters rule is a barely coherent rules salad that permanently sets their attacks to 1
Because I'm on a mobile and cba chopping up that response @Kan, they mention the first tplace you can play in the UK, then say North America won't miss out. That suggests that there aren't any other demos at this time. It also suggests that they wouldn't be doing demo sessions if the edition was already released.
Its training in the US and I'm not aware of any other large key releases due over summer that might require training days.
You're less likely to get the "dump on Kan" response if you don't aggressively tell people their thoughts and opinions are wrong, instead open engaging questions that allows people to respond regards validity of their stance. Ask if the article gives hints of the date, what supporting evidence there is etc.

One of the keywords says "Bubotic" instead of "Bubonic" too.

Also in the 'Fake' camp, there's a typo in the keywords (Bubotic instead Bubonic), and their trench fighter ability should read 'increased by 1' and not 'increase to 3' if the ability wording is consistent. Also, the way it is worded, the 'once per turn' clause would be unnecessary, as 'increase to 3' would never stack anyway...

I also think it looks like a fake. Although not guaranteed, the terminator datasheet gave the impression that power fist aren’t unwieldy any more (admittedly this could be specific to terminators) and the death guard datasheet shows WS 4+ for the Power Fist.

Yeah, but the unit keyword is Bubonic Astartes. They could have changed that to Bubotic like for the Bubotic axe, but why?
Also, no overcharge profile on either Plasma Pistol or Plasma Gun, extra-doubtful right away. Especially when they still have 'Gets hot'

It would just mean terminators ignore unwieldly, as they should, but it does raise questions about what the chainfist would be officially.
