Thanks everyone. This is the best I can do with my potato camera phone I have.
Spear Head box with two bonus minis.
I may do another vehicle or two next, but I'm not sure.

Very nice!

Thematically that’s a nice, fast moving force. The TAC Ultramarine in me says it could use some big guns. The MM on the ATV is a good start, but I think one of the speeders or a hover tank would round out the force.

No idea what the current rules for them look like, but they come and go all the time.

Well I do have a Vindicator, Gladiator and Repulsar all waiting in the painting queue. I do have my custom Uriel Ventris to pair up with my Eradicators to use and two Land Raiders as well.

I still have three of the old style bikes to scale up to Primaris size that I can add to the force.

Another vehicle done. This one is an old Forge World resin conversion with spaced armor and decorative doors also add.
I kept the weathering to a minimum as Guilliman will not suffer poor maintenance of Imperial property.
The Vindicator conversion is a pretty poor casting though. It's warped and misaligned. Hypothetically, if I ever had re-cast ten copies of a Leman Russ, they would have come out way better... that I totally don't have. I also assembled the Repulsar. If the weather gets better, I may prime it up with the Gladiator to paint next.

Nice looking Vindi! I’m not one for doing weathering or hazard stripes, but something about that siege shield demands it. Had to do it on mine. Like the extra bits, not sure if I’ve seen them before. Really sells it as a brick of a tank.

One of my favorite theme lists is the armored spearhead. Everyone is either a tank, in a transport, or some sort of fast mover like bikes or JPs. Feels to me how marines should fight (if not in a drop pod assault). Your collection looks to be heading in that direction.

Great army pics, they certainly look a dynamic bunch! Love the vindicator as well, looks great despite the bad casting

I loved the idea of those old forgeworld kits, but they arrived miscast almost 100% of the time. Too much warping. The paint forgives what the resin condemns.

Vindicator looks great, though.

Am I reading this right-- that whole tank is resin? That must have cost a pretty penny. Your paint job is great-- the hazard stripes are a lovely touch, and you added just the right amount of wear and tear overall.

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

Painting total as of 3429/2024: 56 plus a Deva King statue
Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

Not to speak for the blogger in question, but, no. The old forgeworld vindicator kit is the front of the hull, the cannon, and the dozer blade. Also added were some forgeworld doors and the spaced armor plating, but at its heart, this model is just the plastic rhino kit.

There is nothing like GW pricing with garage level casting.

As Warboss Waaazag pointed out it's a plastic rhino covered with resin parts. Basically the only plastic you can still see is a little bit of the rear area.

I ran into a problem with my Army Painter spray paints. I painted up two vehicles together and part way through, I ran out of Army Painter's Ultramarine blue spray and then switched to my second spray can of AP Ultramarine blue. When I finished, I noticed the colors of the two Army Painter cans didn't match. One chassis is the shade of Ultramarine blue the other is a purple periwinkle. This also means some of the smaller parts are blue while others are periwinkle. My potato phone camera doesn't show true color well, but it's very noticeable. Making things worse, I have one bottle of AP Fanatic Ultramarine blue and two bottles of the old AP Ultramarine blue and none of them match the color of either spray can. I tried averaging out the difference with blue washes, but that didn't work. I also tried a thin dry brushing of different Ultramarine blues I have, but that just made a mess. I have no idea what "100% colour match" means, but it doesn't apply to Ultramarine blue. I think my only option is to buy more Game Workshop Ultramarine blue and throw out the new Army Painter spray can, then just re-spray it all. I'm never buying AP spray again after this. So, my Forge World is shut down for now. I may build some ork terrain for Kill Team or paint a few Marines.

I tried a can of GW’s spray UM blue many years ago and was appalled by the color matching. And this was within the same company. This was a couple paint ranges ago, so might not be an issue these days. But after that experience I just spray prime a base white and do everything with a brush.

What I should do is get a cheep airbrush set up and just use the same paint everywhere.

Sometimes tank parts come pre-painted and thus there is variation (I would go with that).

Even through the potato lens, I can see the difference in tints. I would go with Captain Brown's suggestion and follow up with manufacture on different forgeworlds.

I'll just do other projects until I get some GW paint.
Here is a sister's squad I'll be using Rough Rider or Death Rider rules for.
I also have the old Sanguinary Guard box with the winged jump packs that I will be using to convert some regular sister's infantry unit into Zephyrim.

Thank you.

Well, here is the first conversion using the old Sanguinary Guard box and a standard Sister's squad. I should be able to use her as a Jump Canoness or Zephyrim squad leader.
I didn't feel like magnetizing her and I wasn't sure if I should go with a Blessed Halberd or Holy Eviscerator. I went with the Holy Eviscerator as it has several bonuses you can apply to it. The conversion work was very easy. I only needed to cut and reposition her feet and one leg. The eviscerator is from a Repentia kit, but I don't remember were the head is from. Edit: Novitiate's Kill Team head.

The last of the Zephyrim done. That was a fun quick project made from leftover bits.
I just got an Email notice that my 3D printed Staion Forge guard bodies are coming soon, so that may be my next project.
I'll be able to use up all those extra Death Guard parts from the Kill Team box. I may need to order more heads though.

Thank you, I wanted something different and I got to use something that has been sitting around in the bit box for ages.

OK, Nurgle's rot got me this year pretty bad and I was sick for a while. I did get some work done on my kill team stuff. I have the basic starter for Kill Team Octarius without the big terrain. There is no way I'm paying the $250 bucks for that terrain on Ebay either, so I made my own version. First up is the pump jack. I did try to make mine a bit more like a real working pump jack.

I thought orks used squigs for everything? Is this where they come from? All I can see now is a cave full of oil squigs, living their best lives in the comfortable darkness. Suddenly a tube breaks through the ceiling and starts sucking them up, like jello through a straw. At the top some Big Mek stuffs them into a bag until he needs them to work on the gargant…

Sisters look like a lot of fun to build/paint.
