Now that they have proper points cost again, maybe they should be allowed in tournaments, even if GW doesn't want it... After all, they can hardly be less balanced than Fate dice, towering, indirect, etc. which are deemed totally fine by geedubs...

I'm positively shocked, they even brought back rules for models that have been oop for over a decade. My lovely DK Grenadiers have rules again. Even if some are missing (Engineers, or maybe I am blind and they are somewhere else) and there are typos, overall it even looks like they have somewhat competitive point costs. I hope they introduce them to the app, but then that would mean they need to have a tournament valid slider and I don't know if GW is willing to spend money on developing an if() condition with a UI component.
But anyway, I have to applaud, it's nice to have so many old units back with official rules.

Deathwing Terminator with Assault Cannon

My Tauros Assault and Venerators, Arvus Lighter, Mortis Dread, Land Speeder Tempest all got rules, so that's good. The Sanctum of Battle got covered technically, after one of the quickest delegations to Legends ever, but it's more expensive than a Triumph and worse, so it'll probably continue to just to used as generic terrain instead. Now to figure out which points values for the Leviathan and Deredeo are intended to be used - these ones seem to be slightly higher than those in the Horus Heresy Legends manual.

I think so, which is why I find it so aggravating. The treatment of chaos cultists over the last year has been the largest excitement to disappointment whiplash I've ever experienced.

The Ruinstorm one? Wider sure but he's a big slug boy. Height wise he's probably about the same as the newer Prince kit which is about 12cm tall.
From that, I'd put him at a little over 2 Space Marines tall which sits pretty close to the new Prince. The bigger difference is that Cor'Bax is long because he's all slug-like.

The Repressor has 2 flamers and FIRE DECK SIX for 130pts. PLUS the eldar bull gak of just scooping a squad away from chargers. Also TWELVE MODEL CAPACITY.
If you put a squad of Retributors into this thing with 4 heavy flamers, you could potentially just yeet it at the enemy and force them to sacrifice a unit on their own turn to move at all. You'd still have TWO firepoints to spend on something else.
It's insanely better than anything else in the SoB index.

Amazing.
XV9s being in this document at all instead of the regular FW index is as much of a joke.
The way the weapons options are written is also hilarious. Default is two completely different weapons that don't even come in the same kit and they can be swapped individually. Is it so hard to just write how the options were written before? "May exchange one or both of X for Y or Z"
