Man it would be cool if Kill Team had it's own thread.

There haven't been rumours or anything, but changes to the datacards for Court of the Archon and Beasts suggest that those two units will be boxes moving forward. Groteques and Urien also make sense.

I'm hoping their release is more than a single model.

What changes?

A court of the archon now has to contain one of each different courtier. Having an archon followed around by four snake-dudes is a no-no now.

Real ones remember Kroot Vulture Kindreds and know that the kill team will probably be them after the huge kroot revamp that just happened. Especially after the recent artwork of them that popped up on Warcom.

Kroot Vultures (and various Knarloc breeds) are what Kroot need so hopefully you are right.

I just hope the new vespid have more than one weapon build, and the helmet visors are not limited to the leader alone. At this point, so many of the rumors we read throughout the past months have slowly come out to be moderately accurate. So far we got, two 40k codexes in the way; both AoS start set army books and their waves; and probably the new set for KT(tau vs MT). It's August already and probably the next reveal event will be NOVA Open.

The leader alone having the helmet is for a reason that I doubt will change with new models.

I always wanted to know what a Vespid female would look like in model for. According to lore they are much, much larger than the drones we currently see on the table. So, anywhere from Ogryn to Crisis suit sized.

I thought the strain leaders were female?

Nope, they're just the commanders.

to be honest, i'd always thought that the Vespid were probably eusocial.. that the ones we see serving as auxiliaries are probably genderless drones, and you have males, females, and breeding females(queens) back in their hives which rarely interact with the outside but which command the whole society.

I'd be all for a Broodlord-esque female Vespid model.

I could see GW going for more variety in the kit by including helmet options, and accounting for the mind controlled leader by giving it a bigger, fancier version. That would still be in the same spirit.

Would be an easy dual kit to have lighter scout Vespids and more heavily armoured shock Vespids.

I think the larger females are the ones that made up the Stingwings, with the smaller males being restricted to the burrows on the floating mountains.

Almost like he's the brand new model they're going to try to push out!

Coteaz is in the big box for Malleus and then the separate release will be later, as is common practice.

Man is it just me or does that combat patrol just blow the battleforces out of the water? Like yeah no vehicle and I'd rather something different than the Priestess or the Eversor, but 20 Arbites + the Inquisition team is a really nice looking grouping for a far cheaper price than the battleforces.

No, the hereticus box is awesome and would have been a must buy if I didn’t already own everything in it.

I wonder if it's actually true that Arbites can come in units of 20 now?

Agreed, Combat Patrol looks way more enticing to me.

It says "Vigilant Squad"...so it might just be the Battleline ones can.

It kinda looks like Celestant Sacresant Aveline's loin cloth is blowing in the opposite direction of the way her skirt(?) is blowing.

Yes, unless you have a Sisters army and need an Immolator.

Since there is no wind moving the scrolls on the cherubim, I can only assume there is no breeze and the clothing items are 'blowing' the direction in which they are due to their wearer's movements.

Kinda sad there's no distinction between Ministorum Priest and Missionary anymore. The Vindictor one is better, but I kinda like the Bishop hat.

Remember that Combat Patrol Datacards =/= 40k Datacards. A 20 man Arbites Vigilant might be legal in Combat Patrol without changing anything at all in 40k.

I really like the Malleus box- my Krieg KT needs a ride, I need one more Henchmen unit so I can build all the options, and I have Hexfire GK, which really need a terminator squad. Plus, obviously I'd get Coteaz. The only issues are that I don't need 2 sets of Hench (though having extras for conversion is great- the two extra =][= banners could be used to bling out a vehicle or a Dread) and I have the Priest already.
