The cool part is that you can fusion the new super Raveners with the standard ones for a big 10 unit with all the special rules of both
Plus the Ravener Prime is a character and can have enhancements.

I expect that all three Ravener datasheets will remain valid for a little while until the new kit is sold separately, then the 3-model datasheet will be deleted.

GW can be very random - eg AoS has a bunch of things that are no longer sold such as Beastmen but they are all technically valid until 2026 mid year.
That said for Raveners I suspect that once they have their new kit on sale the old one will vanish and only the new stats will be standard.

I like how clownrak is always wrong even when he manages to steal rumors from other places (with zero credit, as always) He claimed Centos will be in hybrid old armour mark, oops, he is 100% primaris (even has autobolt rifle when multiple primaris captain/LT models we had over last few years came with squatmarine bolters, and primaris gorget/thigh plating/knees when multiple recent primaris character models did have these armor pieces reverted to old style gear, which is probably where his sPeCuLaTiOn as always making stolen news far less reliable/accurate came from).
That said, is it me or is the Centos face/scowl uncannily similar to certain infamous US politician, and would be nearly identical if you painted hair organge/added toupee?

The backpack and chest plate are a fusion of mk7 and mk10 without being either and he has a mk7 helm.
I don't know what more you expect from "mix of armour"? Long may your random hate boner rage on my dude.

Are we looking at the same model? The new Centos is definitely not 100% Primaris. The helmet is Mark 7, and, if I'm not wrong, is the first character we've seen in a while to actually have a "normal" looking Mark 7 helmet. In fact, if it weren't for the Space Wolves and new Sternguard Veterans, this might have been the first Mark 7 helmet we've seen in a long time. The chest cabling on the abdomen is very clearly not like any other Primaris design. Mark X Tactius armour has flat abdomen armour - the armour on Centos is three exposed cables, a hallmark of Mark 7. Even Mark 8 has a covered abdomen plate. Yes, Centos has a modified auto bolt rifle (however, like the old Centos, it has a stock, unlike any other bolter variant), and his armour definitely has elements of Mark X (the knee guards, the gorget, the backpack, the leg plating, the breastplate) - however, to say it's 100% Mark X is just incorrect. There are strong callbacks to older armour marks, not including the back banner, which has been absent in the Primaris range, barring a maybe two or three exceptions? It's hard to argue that Valrak wasn't quite solidly on the ball with this. That said, is it me or is the Centos face/scowl uncannily similar to certain infamous US politician, and would be nearly identical if you painted hair organge/added toupee?

None of his detail looks to be chapter specific.
While there is a chance he’ll get special rules, the odds of them being chapter locked are low.
Master-crafted bolter/powerfist is a legal wargear setup in the current rules, so he might not get anything special. Just a cool model to use with the existing codex.

Maybe it’s a nod to the 3rd edition Space Marines whose suits of armour were often a mix of different Mk’s. We’ve also seen something similar with the new Space Wolf models: still all Primaris but with Mk VI elements thrown in there.

I really like this new marine armour design approach seen on Centos and the Space Wolves. I think mark X is the best looking power armour by far, but I missed how the old models had a lot of variety instead of every marine being identical. I have always converted my own primaris models to have this variety, but I love that the official models are now doing this as well.

Full codex leaks are in the wild. People are angry about the loss of durability and a few other nerfs. Personally, if it means these things can be pointed better I think its largely a win. The detachments look fun and have significant playstyle options. Hopefully one of them lets big Knights see play.

I had my hopes up when they mentioned "allies" but its basicallly just enhancements. Its great we still have the Xmas detachment but still it would have been nice to have another option for mixing in smaller units.

Daemons still work unless they update the index again after the codex release and Knights still work as allies in other forces.

As for balance dataslate, I am quite sad at the overreaction to the Ynnari. I have Yvraine sitting on my painting desk and an Ynnari force in middle of being built and painted. They needed some nerfing, but this is pretty brutal I am afraid. And it is not like I can switch using these models in some other detachment.

Yeah, Eldar got hit way too hard. They also decided to put Orks down for good it seems. Overall I'm fairly positive about it, but with Death Guard being what it is and some of the nerfs going way too hard I feel like they're going to need a correction sooner than later unfortunately.

The new Chaos Knights and their way too many Armigers War Dogs (5? They don't need 5!), actually sound pretty decent.
We'll just have to wait and see if the War Dog lists go away, or if they are here to stay.

It's likely going to come down to points. I'm hoping the durability changes let them bring down the big Knight costs enough to get them on the table.

I'm cautious of the possibility of the Executioner and Huntsman being removed from the CK codex at a later date. While it's very tempting to bolster my Armigers with some Wardogs, and make them into a bonafide traitor list, but I know the moment I do that GW will pull a GW and insist they're strictly two separate kit ranges.
In that regard cautiously hopeful for the Imperial Knight codex, for it to include an all-Armiger detachment.

I'm SHOCKED the Despoiler can still double up on arms from multiple kits.
I could see the Executioner go, but the Huntsman can be built out of the War Dog kit. No reason for that to go. A bit surprised they don't actually advertise it that way already.
(I guess they'd have to change the top weapon options, but that's not unreasonable)

Very good point about the Huntsman.
I suppose there is a chance they'll simply add an additional sprue in the Wardog kit, for the chaos versions of the auto-cannons. If thats all they have to do then thats all five variants taken care of.

Honestly no. If they do it'll be I suspect with either a 4th completely made up chassis variant in the book or when they get a tyrant kit.
