Unless you take the all Wardog Detachment, which I assume will be the most played.

Yup, unless they actually make the other detachments good or make the wardog detachment very bad.

I'm kinda happy the IK codex isn't out yet. Hopefully, the Chaos Knight nerfs will unleash a bunch of teeth-gnashing anger that will make the powers that be rethink their decisions.

Eh, thus far all the changes seem healthy. Knights being cheaper and more killable is a plus in my book for both sides.

I must be blind but where does it state in the article that Wardogs no longer have the Battleline keyword? I don't doubt it as it says for the Houndpack Lance...

War Dog units from your army have the Battleline keyword.

...so they must lose it to then gain it, but just curious where it's stated.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

It isn't, its just strongly implied.

I see.

Oh, the Knight combat patrols - previously in White Dwarf - are now available as pdf downloads. Been there for a few days already...

The War Dog detachment could be the worst Detachment in the book and it'll still be the most used because Bigs suck in 10th due to how scoring and that works. It speaks volumes that the ComPat requires rules to play an entirely different game from other armies.

Well, certainly not in time to change anything for the Codex release. They'd have to day-1-patch the whole thing.

Until we start seeing actual unit profiles and points, it's hard to call anything we've seen thus far a buff or a nerf (aside from the apparent loss of 'Battleline' on War Dogs).

It's painted as an Ultramarine but he's just a generic captain with no chapter specific markings.

Looks like Kill Team Terminus is going to be up for preorder next week, as the Servitor Battleclade and updated Ravenor rules are also up in the downloads section.

Raveners went up to 5 models per unit (rather than 3-6) and the Kill Team is a separate unit who lose the ability to burrow back down and into Deep Strike reserves, but get anti-monster/vehicle 5+ on their close combat attacks, sustained hits and the option to use rapid ingress or heroic intervention for 0CP (and if already used this turn).

Servitors get Heavy Arc, Heavy Bolter, optional melta gun and optional 3 'flamers'. BS4+, but can advance or shoot and do actions if accompanied by a techpriest (their underboss counts as one).

It means either

1) You pay 125 points for 3 models and accept it because that's how points are now

2) You buy more raveners ^^

Also interesting that they are splitting Raveners into two profiles

Ohh and it also means that new Killteam kit for them should be around the corner for release!

Time to use some of those spare ripper bases to make some 'underground raveners'!

Interestingly the Kill team raveners are a command squad and can attach to regular raveners for squads of 10.

That’s a great idea. Some spare heads and talons ripping up from the ground.

Obviously might get some MFA flack, but if someone has an issue, you can swap models around in the unit as needed, and just kill them off first.

The new dataslate doesn't replace the current Ravenor slate, its an 'addon' unit so the 3 man unit can have these guys slotted in as a leader option. Not familiar with nid list building so not sure how good they will be, but on paper it looks like quite a good addition.

The Kill team one doesn't, but the basic one almost certainly will. They've also lost their thorax weapons, so it's possible that the 3 man units will end up in legends as "Raveners with thorax weapons"
