I like the Black Templars combat patrol. The Space Woofs aren't so bad either. If I wanted Wulfen, I'd stick their arms on regular power armored Marines. This box is basically that with a bit of a discount. That makes wasting the prancing furry bodies a better proposition.

That's actually a pretty good shout. Basically how I made my Death Company for BA (arms on Reiver bodies), thought I was lucky enough to have the kits unbuilt to do so. The BA Combat Patrol isn't bad, but I'd happily trade a set of the 3 Sanguard for the 5 man team of the old Death company just to use as conversion fodder for the assault intercessors.

I made wulfen back in 3rd from kitbashing chaos and loyalist marines using Beastmen arms and heads, to look like the classic Kopinski pic he did for the 13th crusade.
The old metal models were riffing on the wolfman look more than a bestial hybrid look the new ones have. Which I much prefer. They're not werewolves, they're men who've developed wolflike features. The subtlety sells it more than the stupid feet.

I too prefer the old metal Wolfen. My conversion back in the day (because I'm a cheap bastard) was to do a genestealer cult infected 13th Company. My "Wolfen" were marine torsos, legs, backpacks, and shoulder pads. The arms are a mix of Catachan and Genestealer arms (gotten as a cheap ebay bits lot). The heads are a mix of bearded Fantasy heads, SW sprue heads, and the occasional genestealer head.

It's only the iron hands and white scars because they've used bulky units imo.
Ultimately they keep the patrols a fixed price point and if the cost of contents go up they simply put less in, hence shrink over time.

I like the Imperial Fists combat patrol as well. Glad to see Lysander turn out well, too.

A couple of my buddies on our gaming group's Discord were suggesting that the White Scars bike character will probably be the basis of many Dark Angels Sammael conversions. Sammael's official model is showing its age a bit these days, and it's Finecrap to boot, so maybe an update wouldn't be a bad thing.

If I were going to invest in a Sammael model?
I'd just go to the effort (& expense?) Of tracking down an original metal kit.

It's funny cause I want to get the Iron Hands box for the turrets to go with the Imperial Fists one instead of the terminators, make a defensive army

As a display piece sure, but it's completely out of scale next to more recent kits.

A) I routinely run forces comprised of models dating from RT days through the present. I assure you I don't mind.
B) It wouldn't be out of scale as my entire DAs force is 1st born. I haven't added anything to the force since 2015(?) - BUT, if I ever feel the need to add something "new/modern" to the force? Refer back to A)

Now you're making me jealous, that collection must be quite a sight to behold!

I just noticed something about the Votann release. No Jump Pack guys. After their kill team release it was pretty much considered a given that their next codex would contain jump pack guys. Unless Votann are getting even MORE models, looks like they didn't make the codex. Depressing, but intriguing.

GW have held back models from a larger new release to be revealed later and closer to the release date. With AoS they've tended to do this with things like Endless Spells; but they can do it with regular models too.
I tend to notice they like to do it when the preview and release have a good chunk of time between them (intentionally) since it gives them some fresh news to get people fired up for when the release reveal comes up.

Still a chance then. However, that would mean a range increase of at least 3 characters, a vehicle, and three infantry kits. not unheard of, but it is a big release for a less than mainstream army. Not to mention increasing their available units by 54%. I also think, why hide just one unit? you'd think they'd hide at least two.

I picked up the blind box Ultramarines in a batch sale, and the Blood Angel Termies in a discount.
2 runs. The blind box works alongside the current card game sales model, because of the impression that you are dipping your toe in on a regularly expensive game. They sold them in Barnes and Noble, alongside those compartmentalized box games. My impression was that they were being sold there as additional figures to use in the games, and I wasn't the only one.
They are a good idea in Japan and eastern markets, because that is an established way of selling things over there. In the States, I picked up the lots because someone got them for one reason or another, and sold them to me on a discount. I'd heard of them, but didn't really know if they would fit in the Space Marine Adventures games, for which they were originally made...
When I found that they did, it was an added bonus. The regular marines were for the original Space Marine Adventures game, The Terminators were the same figures as the ones in the Ork version of the game.
