Technorex reminds me of the cybersaurus card from Yu-gi-oh.
Anyway, couldn't help myself taking some more wip pics and a few comparisan pics of my old steamcopter I've been referencing to base the entry of the Gyrobomber on.

Da dvergaz guise. -
Yeah even did the unseeable bits like the backside of the connective. -
For the effect of making some light blue metals I used citadel silver paint and blended it with a dip of amsterdam light blue.
Reference Steamcopter:
Spoiler:
Never gave him a name, and I really screwed up the rotary bits because I built it without a schematic (wasn't in the disposessed box :/ ) -

The snowbase I'm so proud of, will make a cool one for my current entry too.

Worked 3 hours straight yesterday night on painting the 11 bombs under the gyrobomber rig (before glueing ofcourse)
They look awesome, put in a lot of detail work.. will have to raise the bar on the rest of the craft now hehe..
(what you saw in the wip's was obviously just the base layer)

I managed to make a mace for him with the top part of a stormcast eternal guys hammer and stuck a couple skulls on for good measure along with a bolt gun to keep him "legit" for game's in the future (if I ever get one). Trying to give him a red glow behind his helm but will have to see how that goes.

No more wips from my end but a textual spoiler that I christmassified the tubing on the gyro.
It looks freaking epic.
Only still have to do the propellor details, a few connectors of the motors and just bought some decorative bits in a store that will make this entry pop. (its a suprise)
After that its base-time, which equates to playing in the snow.

I know it’s a bit early, but do people have any ideas for January? I’ll be away from my desk for the last bit of the month, so want to get the poll vote done a little early.
In related news, I’m probably going to need to change my entry. Vehicles are hard for me to motivate at the best of times, and this month is going fast. I’ll keep at it as a back burner project, but need to fine something smaller that calls to me to get finished.
I'm 25 hours into painting my entry and I'm nowhere near finished. I'm starting to think that it's a good thing that December is one of those fabled 32 day months.

It is good like that.
As a reminder the comp has at least a one day extension built in this month, so you have until the end of the 1st to finish things up.

I know I'm personally doing a bit of snow basing for this entry but isn't it cool to have a snow-off for Januari aswell?

The trick is setting the topic to encourage it, without being too restrictive. If we just set it as “snow bases” a few people might try something new, but many more would probably just go “doesn’t fit anything on the docket” and pass on the month. If we go with something ore vague, like “Stay Frosty” or something that encourages winter themes, but could also be interpreted as calm under fire, collected, etc, we can get more people involved.
Paint something that is pointing at something. Can be pointed like a tank turret or is inherently pointy. Or in army list represents too many points for all it is.
I'm calling this entry finished. I may find more time to hobby before we leave for the US, but I don't want to rush though anything.
Freya on Hildisvini:
If we're still thinking about themes for January, I propose
・Eww, gross! I have a few models in the pipeline that would work for this one.
・Out with the old, in with the new. We could try new techniques, or else break out whatever we bought/received as holiday gifts. Alternatively, we could dig deep in the pile of shame or the back of the painting station and tackle something that has been waiting for while. I have many, many options for that.
For no reason other than bad wordplay I'll throw in Jam-uary as next month's theme. Noise Marines, regimental musicians, catfolk bards or sugary goodness. Stuff like that.
Also, if it makes it to the poll, please don't vote for it. I don't know if I have a fitting miniature.
As far as my December entry is concerned, I'm going to make the unsubstantiated claim that I am 50% done to make myself feel good about my chances of finishing on time...

I am 0% done and have come up with a little plan to add a trailer to the back of my Sagitaur contest entry... I'm banking entirely on having energy on my days off over the Christmas break!

The sculpts are obviously quite crude by modern standards, and I suspect that the molds have suffered some degradation in the 49 years since they were first sculpted (in solder!).
