Wow, nice. With GW releasing Kreig in the not so distant future both of these kits are going to be useful.

Chef kiss, I'm going to be buying some more not-imperial-guard from them when these release! Really awesome to see enough arms and things there that *aren't* spikey too, for the loyalists!

Their latest email has a snippet of some armour tracks/suspension. WGA if you're listening as someone who just uses an FDM printer it sure would be nice to have a vehicle or two to purchase and print that is suitable separated into parts that have been sliced up with consideration for FDM printers! ie minimal scaffolding required, or the angles of bridges set so they don't require scaffolding.

Artillery sprue seems to spend an awful lot of space on spent shell casings. Feels like they could have squeezed one more weapon on there instead. Love the two that we do get though.

Brutes look great. Only objection from me is that their gas-masks don't look creepy enough for my taste.

Have you seen the Victoria Lamb/ Reaper Sledgehammer?

https://victoriaminiatures.com/collections/artillery/products/bfg-sledgehammer

Available in a sale deal of three for US$179!

https://victoriaminiatures.com/collections/artillery/products/3x-sledgehammer-bfg-bundle-deal

Hard plastic gun with Reaper Bones material crews.

Not a sales person for Victoria Miniatures but I picked up my three from the Kickstarter and upgraded them with the resin tracks that are now available as an stl.

The model yes i saw, the deal i didn't however import means taxes and that makes it a nah, also i dislike some design aspects of it.

Pro of the Damned artillery is that it fits perfectly as a proxy for ordnance battery. Would be interested in the sledgehammer if GW did not see FW as something to eliminate at every point.

Indeed. They should also market it to the role-players. There's a need for civilian NPCs: plenty of "adventuring types" out there already.

Mind, that's a mighty sinister looking florist. I wonder what other bits will be on the sprue, and if I can make someone similar to Eliza Doolittle (the flower girl in Pygmalion and My Fair Lady).

I definitely need those civilians. I already have a weak spot for them and these are full of character.

You've noticed the Grand Battle Scale (10mm) Orcs we're working on and probably heard whispers of the Dwarves too! Well, we're here to tell you these are just the first sets leading up to the release of a Grand MASS Battle Scale game: Classic Fantasy Battles!

We've been hard at work behind the scenes to prepare the way for this massive release. Over the course of the next year we'll be previewing (and releasing!) new hard plastic factions for the game along with deep dives into the core rules, scenarios, army lists, and more!

The first step though is to get at least 10 factions into hard plastic so that you have plenty of time to build your armies! Watch this space for the Orcs, Dwarves, and more!

Very hyped for townsfolk, but even more so for robot dogs. Hopefully these will be in plastic with plenty of options, but digital is good too if they are available to purchase in printed form.

If anyone from WGA is reading this thread, a small request: if you're doing modern / near future looking robots like this quad-legged 'dog' in plastic, can you try and fit some small flying drones onto the sprue? There's a surprising dearth of suitable models on the market, given how much hype military drones are getting at the moment. Would especially appreciate a recon / spotter type quadcopter, but FPV 'loitering munition' kamikaze planes would be cool too.

Totally agree on flying drones. Maelstrom's Edge has some good ones but I think that's about it in plastic.

Having recently assembled some of the MEdge ones, I disagree on them being good models. The legged chassis isn't too bad, but the rotor / control surfaces for the flying ones are a nightmare to fit exactly right, and the guns are extremely fiddly too. They seem perversely resistant to the idea of just putting nice thick slots and tabs where the parts fit together (far from the only manufacturer with this flaw; plenty of GW models over the years have been similarly awkward).

EDIT: I'm also not too fond of them aesthetically. They seem too small for proper combat aircraft, but too big to be a recon unit, and they are a bit more 'sci-fi' and less 'realistic' than I like.

The Concord range from Beyond the Gates of Antares have some useful drone models that also appear on the basic strike team sprue - a small recon one, and a larger drone acting as a weapons platform.

interesting on the 10mm for sure. We are just starting Fantastic Battles. I hope they keep the conventional 40mm wide basing that seems to be the industry standard, so we can try the rules.

Please.

Otherwise it would be a disaster.

And I am not going to rebase all my armies (in fact I'm basing the ashigaru on 40mm for use in fantasy grand battles). Even though I am not using Warmaster rules.

what industry standard are we talking here?

most games either use units size with the bases being up to personal preference, are those I know that have base size don't use 40mm

it is basically only Warmaster that uses 40mm wide for infantry and 20mm wide for cavalry and that is technically not a 10mm game

Damned outrider sprue layout done

We've had to do a few parts fixes on the Beastmen and the Beasts in order to get them right for plastic which has caused a slight delay of a couple of weeks on those sprues. I hope to have the layouts for those within the next week.
