Are we sure the second picture isn't taken from an old Daily Express story on the Beast of Exmoor?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_big_cats

Also I can't believe GW has made another impossibly weirdly tall misshapen thing with that cogfort, it certainly looks like it has a massive tower with a giant cannon on top rather than just a more expected and true to the art giant ambulatory steam tank. Seems like it will be a nightmare to transport.

But it still hasn't found what it's looking for.

I really have to explain to you that the pics are so blurry & vague that, other than an outline of a cat, I can't tell what the hell they're supposed to be?

Just pointing out that they match up with a number of previously mentioned rumours.

In other news, Path to Glory.

Loved that first book, have high hopes for the second.

When the 3 year cycle continuous, will AOS be released again next year?
And if this is the case it sounds like they are not giving battletomes to some armies this edition?

You're a year out. AoS 5th edition is due in 2027. All armies are due to get battletomes by the end of 2026 except Fyreslayers who are being combined with traditional Duardin in a new battletome.

Ah okay I thought next year would be refresh already.
I suppose my CoS will get a new book right before the next edition then. sad.

Next year is 40k 11th ed. GW recently announced the end of edition campaign with 500 Worlds.

I thought it was pretty well established that the bad pictures are GW leaks?

Apparently another rumour stated that all the tomes will be finished by 2026. So, it will be quite an intense year for releases if these rumours play out.

Pretty great review of Blighted Wilds:

Excellent. Loved the first, was hoping the second was just as good.

I hear it's possibly the best AOS supplement, and people love it.

Been pondering, think there's any chance that the silhouette behind the Red Gobbo here is the Destruction Looted Cogfort?

https://assets.warhammer-community.com/grotmascalendar_incoming-nov24-image1-hjuiuzaj7l.jpg

There's a few bits on it that look oddly specifically like bits rather than something that's just going to be a shadow in the background.

Its probably a halfling pancake castle for a new halfling faction. And thats weird -a new hot pot catapult would cause way more buzz.

Well, got the PTG book and Darkwater on order.

GW site only let me purchase 1 Darkwater, which is fine I suppose. I’ll just go harder on the Maggotkin releases in (hopefully) a week or so.

To be honest I suspect it's a composite of things made to look like a Gargant, but I did wonder whether the looted cogfort might be making up a significant chunk of it.

Yah mine should be coming today or tomorrow according to the AusPost tracking system.

I don't know that he'll get painted any time soon, but I think I'll assemble Vhordrai straight up. He's too cool a model to keep sitting on a sprue.

Mini of the year voting:

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/1geonm0v/miniature-of-the-year-2025-vote-for-your-favourites-and-enter-a-competition-to-win-the-best/

Went with the Wight King/Lord on steed for my AoS mini of the year in the voting. I just wish the axe option was a more menacing looking weapon.

The Beastmen shaman in TOW, and Logan Grimnar in 40K.

Voted for the metal cover WH+ Necromancer. Whole barrow range is great too, and he has at least two of them. Also like the Hobgrots somehow - far better than those from the Kruleboyz.

Servitors for 40k (cause I just like Servitors and the Overseer even more) and for the RotB the Cadaver Merchant and Narcer (both simply great sculpts).

Yeah there are certainly a lot of nice 40k minis this year but none of them really stood out for me. So I picked Phoenix Lord Fuegan as he's the only one on the list I could imagine myself painting.

Followed up with Prince Vhordrai for AoS and Miao Ying for everything else.

40K, don't really care about. So went for the Eldar dude on the web.

AoS was Methaela, because everyone is going to vote for Vhordrai anyway.

Everything else was the tree character for Bloodbowl. It deserves recognition.
