Nice. Rather than a Maugan-Ra 'reimagining, just a simple modernising of the old design. Wonder if feedback from MR caused this, or if it was always the plan?

Very nice.

Presumably we’ll also get plastic fire dragons? Not that I need another squad, but I’m a sucker.

Looking forward to more Eldar. I should really clear out the ones I have in the primed pile.

Why couldn't they have done such a great job modernizing when they made Maugan Ra?

This gives me hope for an eventual plastic Karandras.

Looks good! I like the little flaming CSM helmet at the bottom of the base, looks suitably detailed and unique without going overboard on the bling. Curious how the Fire Dragon Exarch will look in comparison but overall another solid plastic remake for a Phoenix Lord!

Never been that excited for Fire Dragons but...Fuegan is HOT!

I like how the helmet looks to be 100% optional. Doesn’t fit your scheme/vision? Just leave it off. While I get that hero rocks are a thing, faction specific base decorations bug me. Always nice to see them as just options.

Fuegan looks amazing!
He has always been one of my favourite Phoenix Lords, and one of the most useful.

Edit: Cool to see the old school back banner. Dont remember him having that for atleast 20 years.

By faction specific, do you mean all the aeldari ruins or the flaming CSM helmet? Either way, save for his tactical rock, I do like that both seem to be optional, since he's not crouching on a pillar like a harlequin, or Maugna Ra, or Drazhar, or...

I actually like the new Maugan Ra. And while the old model was good didn't look like an Eldar at all - a friend of mine made a nice Plague Marine conversion out of him.

That model needs a far smaller and/or filigrane head. And a better pose.

Presumably this also means plastic Fire Dragons.

I was thinking more about the helmet. If your army is based with necron bits as an example, it would be massively out of place.

The eldar faction specific stuff doesn’t bug me. My army is based on a maiden world grass and flowers scheme, so it’s fine for me personally to have a few native ruins.

But things like the marines in the leviathan box being tied to ‘nids is bad IMHO. The indominus box had optional necron stuff you could leave off.

Generic rocks and rubble is pretty universal. But if it’s faction specific it’s real nice for it to be optional, so you don’t need to worry about taking a hobby knife to things just to have it fit into your army.

Lovely. Sculpted banner is an interesting choice, first time we've seen this on an Eldar model.

Didn't Yriel had that, too?

As someone who spent far too much time gazing at photos of the original model and the illustration in my pre-teen years, this is wonderful.

Got to admit I never owned any, but Fire Dragons have always looked awesome so a fantastic new leader for them and hopefully new plastic dragons to go with is a great thing!

Pretty sure it’s just Maugan Ra and Jain Zar in plastic at this point.

Wow. That's the first of the Phoenix Lord redos that actually improves on the OG, will be pretty tempted to pick him up when he is released - especially if there are nice looking new plastic Fire Dragons as well.

The Phoenix Lords and Aspect Warriors are so far turning out to be the pop bands of 40K...

Jain & The Banshees.
Maugan & The Reapers.
Fuegan & The Dragons.
Karandras & The Scorpions.
Asurmen & The Avengers.
Scott & The Spiders.
Bendy & The Ink Machine.

...and if there's any justice in the world they'll all be in a future Xmas Biel-Tann battle force. Rocking Space Marines off the top spot.

Looks fantastic. Now if only they'd actually have the rules that show their demigod of war status.

T3... In 2nd ed Karandras and Maugan were T6!

Yet another correct rumor from Valrak- Vindicationrak indeed.

I'm surprised this thread isn't moving faster. This lends credence to all the rumours Valrak has shared. I'm extremely excited about the prospect of finally seeing a full set of plastic aspect warriors, not to mention a brand new phoenix lord. It wasn't that long ago that we were speculating about which aspects would get cut or become dual kits. Baharroth was always my favourite. I hope he gets as good an update as Fuegan.

Am I the only one that preferred the old helmet? The borders around the "face" make it look weird and the fangs are too high. I had the same problem with Maugan, I preferred the old helmet without the cape.

They also took away some of the dragon details like in the front cloth.

Why is he holding his Fire Axe so close to the head? Defeats the whole purpose of having a long haft.
