I liked his appearances on the Red Green show. It showed that he could be funny as well as serious. RIP

I know he's been in a lot of amazing movies and has given many memorable performances, but my favorite movie of his will always be Sneakers.

That’s a good choice. My preference would be the Sting. It’s kind of joyful to watch the whole thing come together. The man did a lot of awesome stuff.

I always thought of Robert Redford in older movies like The Sting and Three Days of the Condor (and even A Bridge Too Far), but I remember my surprise and delight when he showed up in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, playing the villain no less. It made me wonder where he'd been in the intervening years.
RIP to one of the great ones.

I don't know why, but the one Redford movie I wanted to watch again since his death has been 2001's Spy Game.
I remember watching at the time thinking it was a "handing over of the reins" type movie with Redford, a lion in winter even then, and superstar Pitt co-starring. That's all I can really remember of the movie, so it might be a forgettable one, but it has been 20+ years.

Claudia Cardinale, an Italian actress who was in The Pink Panther and Once Upon A Time In The West, among many other things, passed away yesterday at age 87.
I was raised on classic movies when I was growing up, and The Pink Panther was one of them and has been one of my favorite movies since I was like 10 years old. I was too young to appreciate how beautiful Claudia Cardinale was back then, but once I got older I was like "Wow!" and then remembered she looked like that before my parents were born lol. May she RIP, and my condolences to her family and friends.

Yeah, my mom informed me of this earlier today. Very sad even if she did live to a ripe old age. Keeping Up Appearances is a favorite show in my family; I've seen every episode many times. I remember one time my grandmother pointed out Patricia Routledge on Hetty Winthrop and young me was shocked because she didn't act like Mrs. Bucket at all! Showed she had good range as a performer. RIP

Frehley’s family issued the following statement:
“We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!”

Aries Games & Miniatures wrote:It is with a heavy heart that we here at Aries have to say that Melissa Noe, wife of Mike Noe from Iron Wind Metals, has passed on from her battle against Cancer over night. As many of you know, Melissa was diagnosed with both Brain and Lung Cancer about 3-1/2 years ago. She fought bravely, with dignity, and continued to face each day with humor.
Melissa was there day one when we founded Aries Games & Miniatures, not just helping setup my account at Iron Wind Metals, but also to help out with ANY issue that ever came up. Throughout the years, we would email back and forth with both business content, as well as jokes. She would always ask about my kids, especially joking since I had not just twins but all of my kids are boys, and to always remind me about how much trouble they would cause and how much they would drive me insane.
Talking on the phone she was the exact same way. She was always a joy to speak to. Always upbeat, joyful, and full of energy. After 13 years in the business, and dealing with her directly for almost a decade before she stepped away to concentrate on her journey, it will be hard to know there won't be any more jokes coming in or ability to speak to her again. While many knew her as "The Office Wench"...we got to know her as much more. She was, and always will be, one of the best in the industry to have ever had the immense pleasure of getting to know.
Our hearts, prayers, and thoughts will be with Mike as he finds his way without the love of his life, as well as with Melissa's friends & family. She will be greatly missed.

She’d suffered from vascular dementia for around 15 years, so whilst always sad and a good innings, I hope her family take comfort knowing she’s at peace.

I've seen some episodes of Fawlty Towers, it's a great show. Sybil Fawlty was so long-suffering to put up with Basil! Sad to hear that the actress had dementia and stuff in her final years, but like MDG said at least she's at peace now. RIP.

Duane Roberts, inventor of the frozen burrito has passed at the age of 88
via Gizmodo:
Few modern inventions have had a bigger impact on our nation than the frozen burrito. How much American productivity has been fueled by late nights spent chowing down on these microwaveable wonders? How many startups have been founded amidst mouthfuls of soggy tortilla bolstered by gooey bean and cheesey goodness? The full impact of this modern marvel may never be truly known. Unfortunately, the inventor of this magnificent invention has died.
