The first trailer was so long ago that my takeaway is the same. People have a flimsy reason to participate in dino feeding time, go to island on time for dino feeding time, and to everyone's surprise dino feeding time ensues.
Still hoping for the movie to get that part right because it's all I really want out of a Jurassic Parkworld movie.
Nehekhara lives! Sort of!
Why is the rum always gone?

To be fair it's probably for people like me. I barely watched (not sure I finished or honestly started the last one) the last two with Pratt. Scar Jo has enough charisma and normally isn't attached to bad projects that I'll at least watch it. It probably won't get me to the theatre but there is an outside chance I'll say yes now if my kids ask to go see dinosaurs on the big screen now.

Pretty much the film I'm looking forward to the most. Story wise it should have been left at Jurassic Park and The Lost World, but I just can't say no to dinosaur mayhem.

Hmmm... I keep wondering what the Jurassic Par/World films would be like if Spielberg returned to direct them.
And then I wonder what they would be like if Michael Bay directed them, and then Justin Lin (of the Fast & Furious franchise... and then my fever dream hits a crescendo and I try to imagine a Wes Anderson Jurassic movie.
Mmmmmmmm… Gonna say Meh. Not terrible by Jurassic Park standards, but not all that good. I think less dinosaurs? Or maybe it just felt that way. A couple good scenes, but a lot of designs I don’t really care for, and an early behavior that feels really odd.
^Seconded. It wasn't as actively horrible than previous two, but it doesn't have much to do with dinosaurs anymore. It's just a pretty generic monster flick with flimsiest excuses to show monsters and have them chasing humans.
Dinosaurs mostly looked cool, hybrid thingies were derp.
I went on to watch The lost world with my wife right after we got back home form the cinema, and while that movie was by no means stellar, the disparity in the writing was frankly shocking. It's like writers gave up constructing meaningful dialogue.

So what do folks think now the film has been out a while...?
Went and saw it at the weekend, overall good but not great I think. Definitely a massive improvement over the last couple of JP/W movies, but that's a pretty low bar to cross...
I enjoyed it, only a handful of moments that felt a bit dumb, but I feel like they didn't really get enough out of the premise; at least from where I thought it might go -
Spoiler:
I thought that the 'secret' research facility was going to be more focussed on the military potential of the dinos, which had been alluded to previously so was expecting the corporate guy to turn out to be using the medical stuff as a "do good" cover story - got that wrong lol. It also seemed that way from the hybrids we saw - the flying raptor things (which surely would have been a terrible idea for the theme park, though admittedly that's never stopped them before...) and the weird "D-Rex" that were never really explained in the film and I thought we might get more than we did on all the weird experiments, etc.
On the Surface of the Sun aka Florida in the Summer.

Or the Pandemic Edition of Jurassic World (Dominion) where there's nobody around.
Except for some giant-ish locust/grasshoppers and some dinosaurs in the dark.

I mean, I can totally get not particularly liking this one - it doesn't really do anything new, despite the hybrid dinos but I genuinely can't fathom how anyone who watched Fallen Kingdom or Dominion (especially Dominion) could think this was worse than they were...!
