All these special Space Marine characters and GW still hasn't given us rules for Fragman.

Notice how Fragman is upset about garish polka-dots, but some could argue that he himself wears garish polka-dots. That really makes you think about society.

I spent some time cleaning and basing the Skaven, and realized that I don't want to paint them this month. While I was cleaning them, though, I took a look in my alcohol container:
and remember that I've been pulling old models out of storage for potential entry to the challenge. I hit them with the toothbrush and here's what I found:
I'll clean and base this lot, paint up what inspires me and enter my favorites.

I'm in with this lad. I feel like with the theme "From da Scrapheap" that as an ork player I should be taking on something more ambitious, but RL has been sapping my hobby time and motivation in a major way lately. So finishing one mini a month and getting this next squad of kommandos done slowly but surely is the priority these days. Ork rokkit launchas always look cobbled together from scrap to me so I figure he fits the theme at least.

Progress on the Eldar terrain.
Now it is a little monochrome...I want to make it quick to paint to be able to do several pieces. Eventually I have jewels to add, but not until painting is finished.
Any suggestions?

Perhaps using either a vine/Ivy or some tufts or similar to add pops of color? My Iyanden have black templar contrast bases, drybrushed a lighter grey (which pops against the yellow and blue of Iyanden) but I added fuscia pink tufts and suddenly the whole model pops more. You could literally use green stuff and just dry brush it when done (rough idea, haven't done it that way before but it is already green...)

Hey all
Picked this out of the little ebay scrapheap box I have
I picked up two of these last year and didn't get around to painting them. The other one needs a little more TLC, previous owner stuck the wrong roof on and looks like they tried to cut it out and gave up half way through, so I think I'll pick this one to save some time.

Finished and Decaled the Dred. I could theoretically call it a day but I want to clear the Gladiator too. Started work on him. Remainder spoilered for size.
Gladiator turret progress too - I finished the turret as it's all black so I went ahead and just did the highlighting same as the Redemptor. Took more time to work on the heat effect on the melta gun and lascannons. Turret by itself then on the tank.
Pretty happy with the progress so far. C&C always appreciated.

I hate that kind of decision paralysis. Sometimes you just need to pull the trigger and go.

The only reason I’m not as bad is the fact that my hobby bench is stupidly large. If I didn’t have space to sprawl, I’d have a pile of clutter and just have like 3 inches at the front to work with.

WIP:
Still need to get some base work on these guys, but making gangbuster progress. Ignore the vampire, she got a couple days of a head start and is not for the comp. Next up is to get the bland and blood knights done. Half a month to go, but the blood knights need to go one at a time on the monster handle, and knights in general take a lot more time then footsloggers.
Top 5 will make the final cut.

I haven't actually painted anything on my painting station in many years-- every square cm is covered with paints, supplies, or WIP models. I do all my hobby work on the dining room table.
WIP of the ogre:
You can see another copy of the same model in the background. I painted him with TMM, and will use him as reference for the lighting on the newer model. Also, my go-to NMM steel recipe is really close to the blue skin, so I'll probably start over with bronze.
