Ditto!

Well, sort of. I need to know how the bases will look before I lay down the colours. Honest.

It looks I'll only have time for a single sergeant, but at least I have a physical model ready to go.

Going to be away in the last week of May, so don’t know if I’ll get all five done, but two of my Rough Riders are now ready to charge into battle!

This sounds fun.

Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

An Eldar Landing Pad and Control Tower.

Dire Avenger and Wave Serpent only added for size comparison.

So I found a use for all those extra transfers in the Eldar range to spruce up the terrain.

Cheers,

CB

Finished! This is certainly the most colorful marine I have ever painted.

Looking good everyone! We have a week left, start thinking about wrapping things up and getting those last highlights down.

or starting for you master procrastinators out there.

Actually procrastinating this hard takes a lot of work.

But there has been progress.

I think the skin tone has come out better on these than on the ones I did before.

Not going to get chance to finish the rest of the squad (troop?!) before I go away, so here's the finished pictures of two Tallarn cavalrymen riding to the rescue!

My entry has been finished for a while, but I haven't been able to breakout the lightbox until today.

For those interested, the Summer Side Quest starts today:
https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/816614.page

This will run parallel to the normal painting comps, and some of the rules have been tweaked.

We still have about a week left of May, so keep working at this month’s projects.

I started really well and had a fair bit of paint down in the first week while away with work but I've been painting the house mostly recently and I'm not sure I can enter that......

Still have a bit to go.

Anyway

This years league table has been started/updated

I severely underestimated how detailed the gnoll models are. That's before I got funny ideas about painting them so the fur gets a little texture. As a consequence I only managed to paint one gnoll instead of all three. The other two will have to wait until another time.

Right well I am, against all odds done... so of course I've decided to try knock up a quick display base using offcuts and leftovers:

Well, got the custom base done and decided on which 5 of the 10:
The House of Virtue: Ladies of The Night

The witch and her blood slave

A harlot, the madame and the witch again

The bodyguard and the blood slave again

And a couple of reverse shots

Almost out of month. If you need the extension, now’s the time to ask.

Probably should have left him in a few parts to paint, but made do. Not a huge fan of mostly white models, as I prime white. They alway look not finished to me. Anyway, off to the YTD shelf with him. Was nice to paint something not undead for a change.

I am far behind scedule. I was hoping I could win some ground this weekend, but as it looks I won`t be able to get any painting done.

This is how far I`ve gotten - and I am not happy with what I got - wanted to redo allmost all the paintwork.
If you are interessted, I will keap you updated on the project in my Galery, as soon as something happens with it!

An extra day would be appreciated Nev. I've made some progress but today is looking a little busy, could finish off a model or two of these on Sunday
I wasn't sure what to do for this month but went for your suggestion of a military parade - so needed some flags, a band and some cav

proof

and progress so far

Since the 1st of May is International Workers' Day, here are two working stiffs from downtown Racoon City. Don't worry about the shambling, they've probably just had a few beers...

I know we have an extension but I'm not sure I'll get any more done, so I'm posting these now before I forget.

Full pictures in the spoiler.

I should be able to at least finish the Doomsday Machine over this weekend, we'll see how far I can get on the Kongo. So far it's been rough trying to do the freehand, and it has utterly killed most of my motivation on the project.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
