This one is pretty close to the Platonic ideal of a fantasy miniature. Great concept, clear craftsmanship – pretty psyched for this game, 3/4 of these hero designs are A-tier.

On the one hand, she's devoted to the powers of cleansing waters, so ideally place to deal with that; on the other hand, it does seem a tad wasteful to use precious holy water to have to wash your feet every few steps...

She is part of the most powerful class of beings in the known realms. She is immune to all harm and can do no wrong. Its actually overkill for her group to bring her as she could win on her own so i think she is safe

I think the same can be said of all the heroes thus far.

They’re definitely GW models in size, but also kinda unexpectedly, well, I’m not sure generic is quite the right word. Understated in terms of iconography perhaps? Plain definitely isn’t the right word. Sober, maybe? Restrained?

Leaked pics floating around on facebook.

3 more heroes revealed on the side of the box. Some sort of Life/Nature Wizard with familiar(rumor engine staff head), what looks to be a Kurnothi centaur archer, and some sort of orange werewolf hybrid person, who has the claw mace from the rumor engine, i believe.

Its the Maggotkin of Nurgle fan page, fyi.

Uh boy... I was a little bit worried that we only get four heroes.. Glad that my original assumption turned out to be true.

In addition the rumour picture from 29.07 is on the were druid on the left and the 12.08 is on the familiar of the wizard. Considering that the one from 05.08 is also from Darkwater... I almost expect that the one from 19.08 is also from the Nurgle side of the box.
Spoiler:

29.07

05.08

12.08

19.08

What do we reckon the sealed box in back is? Mid-campaign surprises and changing components, a la Gloomhaven?

The box looks thinner than I was expecting. All of those characters are the kind of thing GW should do more. Loving them.

It's about the same as Blackstone Fortress and Cursed City - in fact about the same as every modern quest game i think from the looks of it.

He's an Aqshyan sumo wrestler in a fur suit. Judging by the back scratcher he was looking forward to some quality spa time, but joins the heroes to take out his frustration on the janitorial staff when he hears of the spa's recent plumbing issues.

I dont't appreciate the subtitle "Darkwater". It's not bad, it sound good, but I've preferred something grimmer, like... "Depths of Ghyran", "Marsh of Ghyran"

And Italian translation sounds far worse ...

With a subtitle of "DarkWater", I expected at least 1 Pirate.

Warhammer Quest: Literally Walking Around in the Sewer. I think their animal elves are all silly looking, but am intrigued by a Where the Wild Things Are character getting a miniature.

It looks to me like the map book is underneath the rulebook in that picture (though my methods to ENHANCE! are surprisingly primitive for being 2025) so it's hard to say what's in the box. Maybe just the container for the additional cards, sheets, and dice.

Every time I see a photo of the Inara Sion miniature, I can't help but hear her cry "I have the power!".. shortly before she turns into the old Dark Elf sorceress model with an almost identical pose (albeit with the sword in the other hand)

The box looks pretty light on content for what is sure to be an eye watering price. I’m always surprised they don’t bother to put better rules in these games.

Imagine how well they would sell if they were well reviewed by board game types rather than just being bought by hobbyists as a painting project or to add some heroes or fill out the ranks.

I wish they were still doing the Warcry style big box releases with a ton of terrain and nice warbands for a decent price.

I think going light is intentional - I suspect its going to be a fair bit cheaper then people will expect (certainly under £100).

I think they know a lot of hobbyists probably have a copy of Cursed City sat on there shelves, untouched. This feels more aimed at bridging that gap between your regular board games and GW games.

How Well they would sell? We are extremely lucky if we manage to secure a copy these days... This will sell out again in minutes.
