Hey all,

My name is Elias and I come from Cambridge, UK. I'm an ex motorcycle racer and currently working in a lovelly office job after being self employed went tits up.

I've not played GW games for a good few years now.. mainly due to time and money.. but the new ork stuff has been sat there teasing me for some time.. and as soon as i saw the ork warlord on a bike from forge world i nearly had an accident in my pants and decided I'd sat on the sidelines for too long...

In the past i've mainly stuck to the smaller specialist games like necromunda, bloodbowl, mordheim and gorkamorka (which i really miss), but i'm thinking of putting together a 1500pt speed freak army. That said, should really look at the 40k rules since last time i flicked through the rule book was 3rd edition.....

I've got a bad habit of buying things and then either leaving them in the box untouched or assembling them and never getting around to actually painting them. so.. first plan is to get a box of boys and a truck.. and then probablly take 6months to make/paint them before buy my next unit >_<

so yeah.. anyway.. hello all ^_^

Welcome, I just got back into it all again too. I like the painting and modeling side more than playing (haven't played in years - or painted :S, on my second mini now). I'm also from Cambridge, but I'm back and forth between London and the Bridge

Have fun.

Loves me some Orks, mine don't have a lot of bikes, but I did cave in and order those FW Nob bikers and Warboss... They are awesome!

Mine is mostly a mech infantry force though, that won't get to see the field of battle until late January or February....

Last ork army I had was blood axes, probably due to being a guard player and i thought camo on orks looks pretty funky.. but i fancied something a bit different this time around.. and something that used the new trukks and bikes a lot! i'm just really sad that they weren't around in the era of gorkamorka! that said, the trukks back then were pretty damn good for the time ^_^ I like the back story of bad moons, but after painting a few units of imperial fists i don't want to see yellow again >_< join me in a few months when i say the same about red...

JonnyDelta wrote:but I did cave in and order those FW Nob bikers and Warboss... They are awesome!

aren't they just! i wont be getting them for some time.. i've not done any painting for at least 4yrs and i don't want to ruin rather expenive models, but i'm hoping it's like riding a bike and i get back into it quickly.. i wasn't the best originally so i doubt it'd take me too long when i get armies i tend to go for style and sod the competitiveness of them.. so i'm thinking the warboss with a squad of maybe 3-6 nobz on bikes as the main feature.. all painted bright orange with kay-tee-emz written on the side.. cos everyone knows that orange ones go faster!

p.s. why is my country flag saying i'm a yank?

Welcome to dakka!
I've never done orks D: Ig, csm, and daemons for me. I love the bikerz, but I just bought a baneblade so it was a no no for me :(
Hope you enjoy your time here.
