Hi everyone, I've lurked around here a bit in the past but never actually signed up. I figured tonight what the heck, why not and went ahead and did it.

I've been collecting/painting minis for ages (since the late 80's) I have been reading the information, codexes, rulebooks and the like for the longest time. Only recently have I started to play (currently every other Saturday at one of my neighbor's houses). I collect way too many minis/armies. I have the problem that if it looks cool, I tend to buy a few of them so that I can field them in my armies. In the Fall I am transferring over to University of South Florida so hopefully I can find some gamers in that area.

I actually have no earthly clue how big my armies are exactly, In rough order of size:

Imperial Guard - 7 superheavy tanks, a good deal of forgeworld (mostly turrets 2 superheavies) an Armourcast Warhound, Cadians, Catachans, Mordians, Steel Legion, some vossys, some Dkok, 30 or so russes, 10+ basilisks, ect (lots of ebay wins of people's armies)

Space Marines - The Entire Deathwing, (with extras) at least one battle company and parts of other companies with no difficulty (Wolves/Dark Angels/Flesh Tearers are in my future )

Chaos: Lots of older metal models, forgeworld Dreds, lots of new plastic stuff, decent sized daemon army as well (and actually mostly painted too!)

Tyranids : Lots of chomy and choppy, nothing 'uge from forgeworld, but some of the smaller things for carnifex and some ripper swarms that I have to assemble eventually.

Tau: Never got bitten too bad by the forgeworld bug on them, but have one of the remora kits, got most of the apoc kits as well as a few army boxes, still deciding on a theme before painting em.

Eldar: Pretty much everything I have here except for a little bit is from the WD 127 era, tons of old school guardians, aspect warriors, harlies, ect. Also picked up the 'newest' eldar army kit, FW avatar, apoc jetbike squad. I finally feel that my painting skill is able to do these guys justice so working on them now.

Orks: The Ork Strike force, 2 aobr kits, old starter kit orks and grots, stompa, trukk and a few random other things makes up my little ork force.

Inquisition: I have enough to form the basis of an army with a good amount of inducted guard/marines to balance out the list.

Necrons, 3 of the battleforces, ebay win that had some of everything (at least 10 of all metal models that aren't large models/lords) and 3 monoliths

Since I have started to play, so far I have fielded the following armies:

Generic Space Marines
Tyranids (having fun with the new codex)

Next Week, i will deploy Deathwing to see the expression on his face, 33 models, Belial, 6 squads of termies and 2 lascannon dreds, every squad will have a heavy weapon

Question about painting logs, should I just do a General log of all my 40k stuff (and maybe a fantasy one if I paint some of them as well) or should I do one for each army? I tend to be rather um... ADD about painting armies. Ok, paint on an Ork, ok here's that Tyranid, hey look a deathwing terminator, more Ork, eldar, Nids, Eldar, WAAAAAAGH! repeat as necessary.
