Planning on picking up a Tau army at Gen-Con Indy this weekend. I wanted to know if there was any people will to show a noob some basic in's and out's of the Tau in person. If it helps I'm a totally hot chick in low cut shirts. (and by hot chick I mean, 30 year old guy and by low cut shirts i mean low cut shirts)

Welcome to dakka
I reccomend you go to the tactics section as there are lots of other Tau players (including myself) there who can help.
Just make sure you mention your a totally hot chick in low cut shirts to get some good replies

Welcome to Dakka.
I think you're asking a little too much for an inperson metting especially since we don't even know what state you live in. As for Tau, the battleforce is a great deal, load up on two or three of those and you'll have a pretty decent force. Then get a Hammerhead, three Broadsides, and a squad of pathfinders.
If you can afford it, get four battleforces since you'll want Fire Warriors because they're dirt cheap for what they can do, Devilfishes because they're great transports, and Battlesuits since they're versitile. All that is worth $92.50 so you save $2.50 plus you get the Kroot and the Stealthsuits free.

Your basic Arachnid warrior isn't too smart, but you can blow off a limb, and it's still 86 percent combat effective. Here's a tip: Aim for the nerve stem, and put it down for good. |
