After a decade of walking by gameswork shop stores and looking at the games boxes I have taken the plunge into the hobby.
It wasent I who took the first step but my longtime girlfriend. As an early Christmas present she surprised me with the assault on black reach box and allllot of paint. When I asked how she knew or what gave her the idea, she said she had the idea for a long time since everytime we go shopping I make a point at looking at the cool Warhammer 40k items.

I have already painted about 10 of the minis and while im painting I am trying to learn the rules but I gotta say im slightly overwhelmed, not having any experince in these types of war games. But the game looks amazing to play and my girlfriend is very keen to play too.
Ill have to post an update in a few weeks when we have our first game.
