I have been collecting and playing since I was in the 5th grade or so, I am now a Junior in high school. As my signature says, I play Tyranids, Chaos Space Marines, Blood Angels, Daemons, and Dark Eldar. My Tyranids were the first and I really enjoyed playing them as a 'stealer horde. I wish there was a 5th ed codex for the Genestealer Cult though

I have always been hoping to get better at painting, and I can safely say that over the years I have progressed a lot. I am always too critical of my work to call it good, but I can tell I know what I am doing now. My Tyranids were the first time I ever used ink (black skin with red ink for deep gore-slick sheen and red carapace with purple ink for a beet-red tone) and I think that was the first time I ever really did a coherent army scheme. It looks very volcanic, and I like that. I never really mess with basing, but I would like to learn how. I guess I should pick up some PVA glue and sand and just go crazy some day. I later got Chaos Marines but could never decide what to stick with so they are a hodgepodge of warbands. I go from Black Legion, to World Eaters, to Thousand Sons. I even have some Emperor's Children mixed in there. One day I noticed that I had a lot of daemons I never really ran with in my chaos lists so I just picked up their new codex and ran with it. They are a nice bit of brutality and their play-style is really refreshing after playing several matches of shooty-maneuverable Marines or Dark Eldar. My daemons are painted in traditional colors, nothing fancy there aside from my Slaanesh prince, who's got Green Dragon wings from a massive brute of a mini my sister got but never built or played. My Space Marines are black and red with white details, fairly straightforward. I wanted to combine elements from the Blood Angels and Iron Hands, and I think it worked out. I have yet to get them a proper Master of the Forge for an HQ choice (when I feel like playing non-stabby Marines), but all in good time. My newer Dark Eldar are jet black with green trim and there's not much to be said about them.

I haven't played nearly as much as most gamers, I would imagine. Despite all my years collecting, reading, and painting I can almost count from memory how many matches I have played. This is mostly due to the fact that my best friend had his army thrown out by his mom (they were in an unmarked box when he was moving) and I never really found anyone else who played. Several years later, my girlfriend now plays Orks, my friend is rebuilding his army, and another is starting some Imperial Fists. I get my ass kicked routinely but I don't mind. The dice are not my friends, and my tactics are nothing fancy. However, I still have fun. It's the game I play for, not the victory and that's how I feel it should be. I tried playing at my local hobby store for a while but I often found people to be very poor sports or have some mouth-breathing commentator loudly complain about how me or my opponent were doing something wrong according to article 1693451251 of the Emperor's Holy Rulebook. This is not to say I didn't meet some really cool people while I was there, and most are very lenient and casual when it comes to playing. I am happy to get back into the hobby actively, too long have my armies sat on the shelves.

I am looking forward to meeting more avid 40k fans, sharing ideas, contributing to the gallery, and posting the occasional battle report.

Also, I love the Adeptus Mechanicus, they really need their own army some day.

Wow big intro
Some pictures of your painting would be awesome, its always easier to trust others friendly opinions rather than your own. You can find out if you are being to critical of yourself

I have pictures of some of my minis floating around somewhere. Once I find them and filter through the poor-quality pics (I hate my digital camera sometimes) I will post up some of my favorites. Currently, however, in my corner of America it is midnight and I am exhausted. I did finish my terminator Librarian though Well mostly. I still have to get him with the sepia varnish in some spots and then dull coat the shiny away.
