I was in the Death Star but some @#$& teenagers blew it up, TWICE! SO now I reside in Indy.

Hello all,

Some of you may know me as Darth Vader at Adepticon or at Zlurpee, I have been "gwrulz" since my Outrider days. I have lurked here on DakkaDakka since it first began admiring and borrowing ideas, so it's about time that I start posting and sharing.

My first complete 40k army was metal Necrons. I now currently own 1 of each 40k army and have most of the fantasy armies. I am currently painting Dark Eldar since it was the last book to come out, and the last army I finished was a demon (daemon, deamon?) army that was 50/50 Khorne and Tzeentch. My "most famous" army was my "Mars Attacks" themed that I made for GT Baltimore. I used to go to every GT in the US with a new army, but it started getting stupid and costly. I have never missed Adepticon and feel it is the best ran in the US.

I like to play on tables with heavy terrain as I feel playing on "garden tables" with a couple forests and hills is asinine. I like to think that I am fighting over something, not always just against the other army. The Napoleonic wars are over, who lines up across from each other and march straight at their opponents? Greater abundance of terrain leads to a more challenging game IMO.

Welcome to Dakka. I agree adding a lot of terrain does change how the game is played.

I agree, 90% of the time more terrain = more fun. It just makes things more interesting.

Welcome!

I remember the Mars Attacks army! I started with GW in 1998, and my first GT was Baltimore 2001. Nice blast from the past, there.
