Subject: New to 40k (and Dakka!) CSM Army user!

Hey all, I'm new to 40k as me and some buddies are getting into it, currently have an army of my own and some .pdf's of codex's, 5th Ed CSM And 5th Ed Rulebook.
Hopefully you guys can help me resolve some questions about the game, as well as critique some of the models I've painted/modded up.
Army is as follows so far:
1 CSM Battleforce
1 CSM Space Marine Boxset
1 Chaos Spawn Box Set
2 Chaos Terminator Lord Box set
1 Khorne Warrior box set
1 Chaos metal Sorcerer
1 CSM Terminator box set
Lots of paints, and on my 2nd can of basing chaos black spraypaint on finishing up my army.
All of them are painted except for 10 khorne warriors, 4 terminators and my CSM Rhino, hope to upload them to a gallery soon as I can. My main focus is making a nurgly type army, but when i started I painted my first 10 or so CSM traditional Black Legion colors. But I really like the nurgle death guard look, death and decay, ruinous depravities and cavities in their heads, etc.
The goal is 1000pt armies with me and my buddies, I'll be a 2's partner with an Ork player, vs 2 SM players and possibly Necrons/Tau player as well.
I'll update my army list as I'm at work but my goal is plague marines, rhino, havocs for 2 heavy bolters atleast, meltaguns with my plague marines, plasma guns on some CSM, and my elite choice is still up in the air.. Posessed x5, Terminators x5, or a squad of Chosen..
Any suggestions or tactics be great! I've already been told on smaller point games that Lesser Daemons would be quite invaluable too.

Welcome to dakka, sadly I'm not much of a gamer let alone a chaos gamer, your best bet would be to submit a tactics request in the 40k tactics sub-forum, that may garner a better response

Welcome to Dakka dakka, I would invest in at least two Defilers and a Daemon prince or two. Khorne Beserker are also a wonderful as long as they are in a Rhino.
