Hi, My name is Jareth and I'm from Eastern North Carolina (Greenville).
I've been playing
40k for abit, and currently play primarily Tyranids, Eldar, and dabble
in Space Wolves (the models and fluff are just awesome). I started in the late 90s before
anyone else in my area at the time even knew what Wargaming was, and it pretty much flopped.
I ended up getting my hands on a ton of Dark Eldar for myself, Space Marines for my little
brother (12 at the time), and Sisters of Battle for my GF at the time. I tried to keep people
interested and round up players for about a year, and then Ebayed the entire thing off and
returned to standard Roleplaying. Then I moved up to Greenville in the early 2000s for school
and found a large new community of players, and got back into it. I've been collecting and playing
ever since.
My passion is defiantly not painting, though I enjoy it I'm never happy with how most my
stuff comes out, and I really just love getting them on the table and playing. I dislike playing with
a 'grey' army, but especially with Tyranids, I feel like I never get anywhere trying to paint them all.
My current Tyranid theme is a kind of 'Zerg-ish' look, heavy dark brown carapace, with a lighter tan under
color with accents in bright green, purple, and/or fleshy pink. I have taken to making my own models
for anything I can't get my hands on (Tervigon, Harpy, and at the time Hive Guard), and probably post
some pictures of how those went
Anyway, I guess that's a good intro so anyway, hello everyone and I hope to make lots of good
posts and friends. Now, to go feed the Great Devourer....
