Hi everybody! I've been lurking on the big forums for about a year now and have finally decided to do some posting of my own.

Me and my friend met at uni and now we find ourselves being grownups with mortgages and girlfriends we got bored and decided to get back into the hobby. I've collected and played on and off for about 20 years, mostly 40k since 2nd edition though I played all the games at some point up til about 7 years ago, though I still collected the odd model here and there, and my friend got into it back in 91 with the old Rogue Trader top trumps cards and worked at GW HQ for a while. We finally got bored of playing Call of Duty and decided to use some of the skills we learnt at uni for something a bit more productive.

Since time, money and real life responsibilities mean we're unlikely to collect armies we're just gonna do some cool bits and conversions, and hopefully we can do something a bit different with the more exotic kit we've got access to. Maybe people will want to buy some, maybe not, either way it beats screaming at noobs on Steam. I plan to eventually collect a small airborne-themed Guard army where every unit uses a conversion kit we totally self-produced, but it'll definitely be more about modelling than playing and frankly it's just about forgetting the day job grind. The first idea we had is for an Avatar style valkyrie conversion which we'll be posting in a project log soon, as well as some other nik naks we think people might like.

I'm glad to finally be a part of this community, I hope to be here for a long time!

One of the laser-engraved 40k bases we've been working on. They look pretty hot left clear but can be painted up just fine!

A couple of 25mm laser-engraved bases we painted up. The photo booth is a cheap roller blind from Wilkinsons screwed to the wall of my workshop and lit by my mate holding a nail technician's lamp!

Welcome! I like the work you have done here.

Join the Imperial Guard. The pay's lousy, the battles fierce and you probably won't ever come back again. BUT you get a lasgun.
