Those cabalites consumed tons of my working time. And this is NOT NMM, i mean this is not meant to represent metal)

You should do commission painting. I'd be thrilled if I could paint models at even a fraction of that skill.

Really fantastic stuff. Aside from the obvious technical brilliance at work here, the colours you chose work extremely well together.

Also, those eyes! Especially the ones on the bare-headed warriors. It's a great look that imitates the natural shiny surface of the eye, while also suggesting the multiple parts of the eye (i.e. having an iris as well as a pupil). I try to do the same thing on my guys, though it's a huge pain to get right - do you have any tips for how to do them?

Those things are all different kinds of awesome.

However, see it as a compliment I guess, any chance we could get a "normal" not manipulated picture of one of those minis?

right out of the camera) But, you see, the retouched ones are much closer to real minis, than this pic.

Thanks, everyone. By the way, miniature painting really is my daily job.

Ok, I'm putting my DE in the microwave now, anyone else wanna join?

That level of skill you bring is simply aweinspiring and jawdropping.

Compositionwise, maybe they're a little too clean for the grimdark 40k universe...but D@MN! that execution is just...wow... words escape me.

Any chance of maybe seeing a how-to video on your painting? like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvIeP6JPTfw&feature=feedwll&list=WL

Ok to start off WOAH. Those are friggin awesome, I myself am about to start painting a DE raider and looking at these I could never hold myself up to that standard... But bare with me on this, I do have some crit's to make, take them as you may.
1. If its not meant to be NMM as in not meant to look like metal why does it reflect so much? Because unless their hair/cloaks are glowing (are they?) then they neither cast light nor reflect against Matt armour
2. The red boots really stand out to me as either unfinished or ignored as they seem to be nothing but a base coat dark red, I realise they probably had more than that but thats what it looks like.
3. Lastly these are more personal taste opinions but they dont seem especially evil, there skin seems to pure and lively and although the colour wheel says orangey yellows go well with purpley blues I think it makes the eyes look a little boring, I would have (and will) go with glowing green or glowing violet.
Forgive me sire for my novice opinions, when I finish my raider I'll post it on this board and you may judge my model as you see fit .
