Hey everyone, I am a small scrawny chap from California. I've been playing WH40K for uh... two... two and a half... close to three years now? During that time I have, if anything, gotten statistically worse at everything, including painting. This has somehow not deterred me from spending inordinate amounts of money on this and spending every waking hour thinking about it.
I currently field Witchhunters army, but have in reserve an Ork and small Space Wolf army as well. As dumb as it sounds considering how many factions I've got lying around (taking up most of the free space in my place), I'm thinking about trying out another.
Something that really keeps me going however, is the stories for WH40K. I've read just about everything Dan Abnett has ever written and estimate the books I've read relating to the setting at 25+. Not only that, but I make a habit about writing short stories for WH40K in my free time, which I have a lot of. I recently, in fact, submitted two short stories and a novel to Black Library.
A little about me outside of wargaming:
-Avid RPer
-Mountaineer and outdoorsman
-Musician
-Enjoys terrifying genres of metal
-Speaks bits and pieces of about 8 languages
-Studying Anthropology in college
Anyway, sorry for going on for so long. In my time spent lurking the internet, I've continuously run across references and links to dakka, so I thought I might as well check it out and get involved. Already glad to be here!

Isn't that really why we're all here? We've invested Emperor knows how much time, energy, resources, money, etc into building, decorating, fielding and playing with small plastic figures.
