Hey there Dakka!
Just got back into 40k after a real long absence... Besides the occasionnal SpaceHulk game and a try at the 4th edition box, the last time I played regular games of 40K was back in the days of the Rogue Trader edition : early '90s. Meanwhile I've been in between different miniature games. Did the local WFB tournaments in 2000-2003 but, since then, only the occasionnal Saturday Night SW mini/LotR/LotHS skirmish with my buddies.
Being a regular army fan, influenced by Aliens and Starship Troopers, I've always wanted to get an IG standard army together... Well this is the time. 1500 pts worth of E-bay bought Cadians are in the mail. Colours scheme of the 110th "Shadow Corps" has been tested on my first minis and I just finished my first Valkyrie... which will be modified to a Vendetta next month.
My style of gaming : have fun! I've always been a role-player, even in tournaments... it at least got me sportsmanship awards. I'll look into college and university clubs around here but, sadly, it seems the tournaments have died out around here in my absence...
My style as a Dakka list member : I'll probably lurk around a few times a week, keeping an eye out for inspiration, but I don't expect my message count will break any records...
