Subject: New Tyranid Player

Hi everyone! I'm a fairly new Tyranid player, I haven't really played much, but I do have about 2000 points of Tyranid models. I would love any tips or pointers about what I have, and what would be the next step to take with the army. For background, I played space marines as a teenager (albeit regardless of rules) and then had a very long hiatus until college, where I bought a frakload of tyranid stuff, painted it and then didn't play. Now however my interests are peaked again and I would like to learn a bit more about my tyranid army.
