I've been looking at this site for ages, but I just joined so I decided to post here as the forum urged

I've only been into the 40k hobby for about 2 years, but I got carried away with it as so often happens to newbies I guess I'm mostly a collector, as I've only played a couple of times so far and very nearly got mowed over owing to my simplistic theory of 'big and pricey guns = good'...so I'm sticking to modelling a big army first, and then fielding them once they're ready.

I initially started collecting Space Wolves, but then diverted to almost anything that is Imperial and ended up with Dark Angels, Imperial Fists, White Scars, Blood Angels and Ultramarines (i hate ultras, but I just had to include some into my salad of an army...) and then Imperial Guard, of which I have snow camo-ed Cadians, and ghillied Catachans ( i covered those up with ghillie suits as I don't like the shapes of the actual models, they're too similar to bobbleheads in my opinion), and I'm planning on starting a Mechanicus army.

I hope I'll post some pics of my guys somewhere soon, and get some feedback on them, and suggestions on possible improvements and ideas for future models I'm shy of posting pics of my early models, I think they're too low grade, so I'm turning to them now and again to hype them up and improve them in any way possible..so anyway, I'll take a look around these great forums

I was going to do that too,but actually wanted to have a ''good'' army to fight against the ''baddies'', and initially I was about to collect imperium, eldar and tau, and maybe harlequins too, but after reading the novels, playing computer games and reading the codices, I got to the conclusion that there is no purely good faction, (I still can't understand myself regarding my concerns for siding with the good guys ) so I thought that using humans seemed patriotic and nice, and of course their background can be changed so they are fighting for a noble cause, and that places my heart at rest
