Hi guys, I'm Dean from Australia and a long-time 'Nid fan. I got out of wargaming a few years ago due to a lack of money and disproving parents, but now I'm looking to get back into 40K. The problem I have is that the prices on the minis have jumped quite a substantial amount, so if I do get back into the Tyranids I'll probably have to buy them online and/or from overseas (I have none of my original Tyranid army, and I don't know what's happened to them all).
Can anyone recommend any online stores? I've been looking at totalwargamer.com and their prices seem alright, not sure on their service though. Any input would be greatly appreciated  .

I guess you'll be caught under GW's embargo so won't be able to buy from the main UK online retailers. I'm sure one of the many aussie dakkanauts will be able to give you some ideas, but my 1st suggestion would be ebay.

Hey thanks guys (and gal?). I'm a little hesitant to dive in and buy anything due to the price rises in the past few years and most likely into the future (when I started out a Hive tyrant was AU$65 and mostly made of metal. Now they're $96 and made from rather temperamental resin  ). I could buy three or four 1/48 scale aircraft kits (one of my other hobbies) from a reliable and reputable shop for that money, and they have just as much detail and more plastic in them.
I really want to get back into the Tyranids and be a part of this great community, but after having a good long think about it I'm afraid that my appearance here will be rather fleeting  .
