The Game Box Sea Fleet Foam Trays are designed to work with the new Dread Fleet board game. Both trays will fit the entire content of the box and will allow for easy fit inside your official game box. The 1st tray will hold all 10 ships included in the game and the large island terrain piece. The 2nd tray will hold the remainder of the terrain pieces along with game cards, dice, measuring markers, and small game pieces.
(Please note because of the massive size of the game contents the foam trays will not allow the game box lid to completely close flush. The top box lid will sit about ¾” higher than normal due to the trays being placed inside.)

Tray 1 = 16.25 x 11 x 2.75
Tray 2 = 16.25 x 11 x 2 (These do not include the .25 bottom)

Nice... I was waiting for this Admittedly, I was hoping for the same pricing as "Popular Corridor Space Game Foam Kit"- foam :( I know it's only 5$, but was still hoping for that...

I can't believe this is already ready! So awesome. I was really worried about the very fine details on some of these ships, and thinking about how irritating it was going to be to paint them if they broke off. Your Space Corridor Game foam was worth every penny.

It fits in the dreadfleet box, like their 'space corridor' foam set in the space hulk box

There are 2 differen sets. One set fits the box that Dread Fleet comes with as noted above.

The second set is the standard Battle Foam case size that all the P.A.C.K. System bags hold (15.5 x 12)

Feel free to select what ever size works best for you.

I get that, I meant thickness-wise. The 216 is a tad to small and the 432 is way too big. I think we need a PACK 288

Oddly enough the Spartan Bag would fit it perfectly. You could then always play Uncharted Seas if you get tired of Dreadfleet.

It could be a great solution if you play any of the other Spartan Games.

Do the trays for the game box leave any room for the mat?

Yes, the box still has room for the mat. It does make the lid sit up higher that is the reason for the 3/4" of space that you'll see once the foam and mat are in the box.

Since this is recent and active, I'd like to pose two questions:

1. Will people be able to purchase the foam that houses the ships only? I don't know that I would, but is it an option in the even that we're only worried about the ships and not the terrain?

2. Is something like this in the works for Super Dungeon Explore? I mean, you were RIGHT across the aisle from it at GenCon

You really can't order them alone because the ship tray actually fits the very large island that is part of the terrain. The island is so big that it needed to be put in with the larger ship.

We are the official bag of Cool Mini Or Not. We actually signed an exclusive contract a few months back. Part of that contract includes Super Dungeon and Dark Age. Look for foam and bags to come out for those in the near future.

Wayland should have these on their next order. That could be in a few weeks so if you do not want to wait I would suggest picking these up via our UK website.

Wayland is really good about ordering the latest and greatest so I'm sure they will have them in stock soon enough.

Fantastic! I was just thinking as I opened my copy this afternoon that I hoped you would produce some sort of solution as those ships have lots of spindly little details that would just love to snap off by the looks of them, ordering tomorrow!

I agree, i've already broken a sail off just assembling them. Those tiny parts are just asking to be broken bouncing around in a box w/o foam.
