I have started building the ridiculously expensive Warhammer 40k, after having read novels and played computer games.

I have 9 guardians (picked up a "damaged" set on ebay, and was able to make 9 field worthy units). I've also bought and assembled a Jet-Bike and a Farseer with 3 warlocks.

Without a knowledge of the rules, haven't bought the rule book yet, I would like to know what units are best for an eldar army. Particularly for fighting the Ork folk, as that is the army my brother has and he'll likely be the only person I play for a while.

Welcome to Dakka! If you think this hobby is already "ridiculously expensive" then it's probably worth making sure now that you know things will only get worse. GW hike their prices every year and seem to be constantly charging more for boxes that now contain fewer models every time a force is re-released.
