Saw this on Facebook. Wargames Atlantic is doing minis for Green Ronin

Chris Pramas
Hello, president of Green Ronin here. We are doing both crew minis and spaceships with Wargames Atlantic for our crowdfunding campaign that launches in a week. If you are not an RPG player and just want the mins, there will be pledge levels for that. You can sign up to get notified on launch and get a free set of Protogen dice if you back early. https://www.backerkit.com/.../87ac2fa0-e344-4f1f.../landing

Spoiler:
Get Ready for The Expanse Roleplaying Game: Transport Union Edition
by Green Ronin Publishing
You and 3,563 people are making it happen!
A New Era Begins with The Expanse TTRPG: Transport Union Edition!

Get an Exclusive Dice Set
Sign up to be notified when the campaign launches. Launch day backers will get a free set of Protogen Dice, and first crack at any limited reward tiers.

Delve into the Universe of The Expanse Novels by James S.A. Corey.
Create your own characters and live your own stories with The Expanse Roleplaying Game. From the streets of Earth and the valleys of Mars to the stations of the Belt and the systems beyond the Ring, the universe is yours to explore.

The Transport Union Era is Perfect for Roleplaying
This updated core rulebook is set between the events of Book 6 (Babylon’s Ashes) and Book 7 (Persepolis Rising). This is a fantastic time to set an RPG campaign because there’s untold history and a lot of unexplored territory. The thirty years between novels gives Player Characters room to shine and write their own chapters in the history of The Expanse.

100% Compatible with all previously released material for The Expanse RPG
The Transport Union Edition expands the background and rules but the core game of the original 2019 edition remains the same. Previous supplements like Ships of the Expanse, Beyond the Ring, and the Sol System remain great and useful resources. The Expanse RPG virtual tabletop is also being enhanced as part of the Transport Union Edition with full compendium support coming to Roll20, along with official support coming to Foundry, allowing you to play the game online with your friends wherever they are.

Three New Supplements to Choose From
Daemon’s Gambit is a new adventure series set in the Transport Union Era. Free Navy Conflict presents this apocalyptic era for play and includes an adventure series. Crew Companion is the first player-focused book for The Expanse RPG, and it includes loads of new options for your PCs.

Dice and Minis and More—Oh My!
We are going all out with this campaign. You can expect new dice sets and, for the first time, official Expanse miniatures for characters and spaceships. Plus, some fun surprises!

Exclusive Dice Set!
Reserve your copy of The Expanse RPG: Transport Union Edition and get a set of Protogen Dice, and early access to any limited reward tiers

I love the ships. Plastic spaceships that aren’t from one of the big IPs? Hell yes!

Holy cow! Customisable crew minis that are a little more Expanse-y (because, well, that's what this is) and a little less Stargravey? I was already following along because I wanted the new edition of the RPG so some official minis and ships will be the icing on the cake.

Those non-weapon arms look like they will make great conversion material with the cannon fodder too. I may be in on this. But will be without internet for 3 weeks starting next week. (Trip to Indonesia) So wont get to follow along.

18 crew along the lines of the ones shown here? (three sprues of 6?)

Box of 30 spaceships?

Wow! Too bad the link is currently dead.

Are these the hard plastic Sci-fi civilians that were never supposed to get made by anyone ever so ha ha?

I have no interest in The Expanse, but consider my interest . . . and my nose . . . piqued.

Assuming those crew are normal WA height (i.e. in scale with Ooh-Rah and other DF models), I want a whole bunch of them for NPCs in my Alien RPG games.
Hopefully the turn-around will be quicker than with the Damned, due to only doing a couple of kits.

I think Drop Fleet Commander is the first indy HIPS line.

And their stuff is amazing.

Not my thing but glad to see that WGA continues to provide plastic support for these smaller companies.

Not interested in The Expanse RPG, but curious about the civilian figures as I can use them.

Well, the Expanse is live... The miniatures seem a bit on the expensive side. The "crowdfunding discount price is $40 a box... and $50 retail. for 18 crew or 30 ships. They have a double pledge that is $80 for 2 boxes... so no actual discount on the double pledge.

There is a $10 discount if you get 4 boxes though. At retail price of $50... that 4 box deal gives you a box for free/

Same, I'll want to see physical minis to see if they're meaningfully better than Stargrave.

WYSIWYG - it's digital design for hard plastic tooling.

I know, but even having had the ability to translate a render into a physical object in my own home for several years now, I still find it hard to interpret stuff like proportions and sharpness of detail from a render.

Hmm ... about $2.23 US per figure versus $1.38 per Northstar Stargrave figure. I assume the difference is due to the royalties Green Ronin pays. Won't rule them out yet, but will want to see them first.

Do they have weaponless options?

That's my big want.

You've got to take account of there being 2 sets of fees bundled into the box costs (to WGA for manufacture etc and to the Expanse IP owners) so they were always going to be more expensive

but they would be interesting for Stargrave etc, but probably best to wait for (hopefully) retail if thats all i want

I'm ambivlalent about the price, but as someone who enjoyed the show quite a bit, I would certainly be willing to pay a premium for miniatures of this specific IP.

Consider that it's still considerably less than the cost of almost any other IP-connected minis and you're getting multipart hard plastic rather than the usual monopose boardgame-plastic figs. I'm not totally convinced yet, but I'm willing to be if the sprues look good.[u]

The spaceships are intriguing also. 30 ships for $40 bucks is a pretty darn good deal, especially if there's some customization possible. I'm not even into spaceship gaming, but having a bunch of Expanse ships on my shelf sounds like fun.

The backerkit page mentions the ships are mostly one or two part so they're probably not that customisable without some work, but the joins could be modular in some cases, potentially? We don't know yet though.

With the figures I don't really know how much of a premium I'd pay specifically for The Expanse. I read and loved the novels and haven't seen the show, so my headcanon visuals of things may or may not match the minis. But given it mostly follows civilians and other irregularly equipped people, I don't expect it to be too heavy-handed with the IP in terms of miniatures design. I don't think they're so much more pricey that I won't go for them at retail, and I'm very keen on seeing more about them.

Any news on when the next 10mm minis are going to be released?
