And I'd go with the purple- a bit of throwback to the traditional genestealer cult color scheme.

Purple

I personally think the teal goes best with the scheme. When it comes down to it though, it's whichever one you think fits the best!

I thought that it looked cooler being dragged into the whole back first. see, the whole dragging dynamic doesnt work if hes on all fours, as opposed to actually on his belly.

Purple and teal is normally associated with tyranids and genestealer cults, but i think a red army will look striking and origanol.

I prefer the teal, it fits in well with the cult and is enough to be associated with them without being the ever-present purple.

I think it would be important to know the color the genestealers will be to make the color on the tanks fit.

Red is my choice. Purple clashes in such small amounts and blue looks too nice.

Everything is unfinished. I have to paint tracks, lights, lamps, weapons... and then, the valkyries!
Almost everything is magnetized on the leman russ, chimeras and valkyries.

It is for the hydra/medusa conversion. And it works as chimera. Removable parts! I like them!

By the way OP, looking awesome! really like the valkyrie bases. I'm also liking the fact that you went with something other than purple or black as the main colour, and saved that for the details, I don't really see the cults (except maybe the higher echelons) as wanting to wander around in that much purple, much better to just blend in.

The cult are comming. For now, here you can see their planet and half of their tanks. As soon as posible you will see their minions. The day has only 24 hours, and I like to live, not only assemble and paint

You have a talent my friend, some of the terrain pieces you made have stirred my imagination. It had never occurred to me you could make a water treatment plant from a comp fan.

HI! The paint scheme is easy but effective. The walkthrough:

Basecoat the model with spray white (GW).
Then, few vertical "lines" of paints (pale yellow, pale green pale blue).
Then, two thin thin thin thin layers with an oil paint from Van Gogh: burnt umber. You will need turpentine to mix the oil paint. Maybe 95% turpentine 5% burnt umber. It is not a wash. It is a "filter" to eliminate the pure white.
Now, using the corner of a foam from a blister (psyker battle squad) you applied paint along those edges to create that chipped paint effect. I used charadon granite. Perfect!
Thinned down with turbenthine to have the consistency of a wash, charge your brush and simply delicately touch one of those lines, corners, recesses... and the capillary action does the rest. See your paint running! Few layers to have the correct look.
The models are little bit more brown. The pics are showing too much white.


My first unfinished valkyrie. I've painted the model yesterday. About 4 hours of job! Tomorrow I'll post the pics with the finished model (more rust, pigments, and varnish)

Wow. I thing the second chimera looks better with hydra. Red and the secon guy how he's holding onto the top of the cave for help. You are very talented and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I'm subscribing to you. Keep it up.
