That's a hell of a lot of wraithguard you're rocking. They'd have to hit pretty hard in your shooting phase, i'd imagine.

And as the others have said, a marvellous looking army. I think the thing that consistently catches my eye the most is the pink>white fade on the bonesingers head crest. It's just superb.

Thanks
Continuing along still is the Wraithseer.

The spiritseer, I finally found again after a cat had taken it.
It was missing its head sadly, but replaced it with one of the DE biker heads. Cutting off all the spikes of course.

Also stripped both the Avatar and the Chapterhouse farseer I painted a while ago which was called Elya. Which I think I'll just keep the same name for her, she can be the first farseer for this army so far. Has some nice flat surface for freehanding on.

The farseer is assembled again, but the Avatar is currently waiting for a new base.

Wraithseer is progressing at an alright pace.

And can't have an army without metal models pretty much.
Bases arrived and the two wraithguard so the avatar is also assembled now.

Need to remember to pick up white primer for the avatar and those objectives from forever ago that have literally just been sitting on the shelf to the side of pretty much all of these pictures.

Slowly the classical squad increases in size, need to remember never to get more of these guys after I get 5, unless its to expand their squad.

I feel your pain on that. I’ve got 4 of those guys, and need to figure out if I want to try to track down the last one for the squad, or just buy the new (very nice looking) box. Them and my 4 warp spiders. The problems of old armies and edition changes.

Well recently they were going for about $12 AUD, shipping with US kills a lot of those prices off, but if you look it shouldn't take long to fill that last spot at the moment.

And here's the Wraithseer, it's just sitting aside while the snow sets on it now so should have the completed pictures of it up tomorrow.

Not where I should be

That blue on the pink is blowing me away!

Great stuff.

Some 15 years ago I painted a freinds Eldar army, and it was mostly the old metals, so seeing them here is a proper trip down memory lane. Painting has moved on so much since then, I was rated in those days. People commisioned me to paint. You guys show me up for the amatuer I am.

Really looking forward to this lot.

Love that blue glow effect so much!

And here's the Wraithseer, finally complete and ready to go.

And glad you guys like the blue glow on pink cause I'm finally getting around to building the Space Elf Relay Set from Brush 4 Hire. Pretty nice deal them coming in packs of two. Only got one together at the moment, but literally using a couple of drops of superglue on this to hold the smaller disc part in the middle to the rest of it. Basically it all fits together tightly so doesn't need it. The feet fit into their spots at the bottom firmly as well and could possibly need to be glued if you wanted, but I left them unglued cause they hold in pretty well and I could also just take them off still for transport.

They're also bigger than I thought they would be, but in a good way.

Quickly put together this when I found the Kirai I stripped a while ago when I was repainting my malifaux crew. No idea where the hands are and I think I'd get the new plastic stuff too anyways now.

May have to greenstuff around the base of the helmet for the hair, but it looks good so far. The idea with the left hand was a more interesting sort of replace it with a wraithguard hand thing, but I'm not completely sold on it yet either.

Those buildings look rather eldar-y. How are you going to paint them, the same way that you have the rest of your army-- with lots of blue plasma glow? I look forward to it

As for the other, the wraithguard hand would look interesting, but would it be the right size?

Yep, pink, white and lots of blue OSL.

Picked up my dice today and I like them. Ten is probably enough for an army like mine anyways. For shooting I won't be using more than 8 in a round anyway at once.

It's sort of difficult to show how they are in a picture properly, but they appear clear and have a colour appear depending on the angle with light.

I think it's randomised, but I got 4 yellows, 3 blues and 3 reds/purples.

Also I left the objective markers in the first pic, because shortly after taking this I've started working on them again. Primed black at the moment, I'll spray them white then give them a glow depending on the original colour they appear as there.

Ooh snazzy dice. They look like they should be squishy or something.

The blue on the end of the Wraithseer's D-cannon suits really well. I feel though that the spear haft could use some colour. The black makes it look kind of unfinished.

Those objective markers are certainly rather neat Are you leaving the colors in the middle on them, or is that also primed black?

And I'd say more about your dice, but I can't think of a better word for them than the one that was given already, "snazzy". Very cool looking dice

Well I primed them black, then white and then white again because I was going with white cases and OSL for the original colour they are to tell them apart instead of numbering I suppose. The colour still comes through slightly.

Bases need to be painted black completely and done first so i can add some slight glow onto them too maybe.

I really like the objective markers!

Forgive me now! Tomorrow I may no longer feel guilty...

Yeah, can see the colors slightly still. It'll be interesting to see the end result

Not sure I'm really happy with it, but it's good enough I suppose.

Last two metal wraithguard arrived so their squad is ready to be worked on now.

Also played a game yesterday against a haemonculus covern. Basically the Wraithknight had to stand up to four venoms firing at it and a raider, it got knocked down to 1 wound on turn one but I managed to get invisibility off on it every turn after keeping it alive as I whittled down the amount of venoms. Wraithguard again managed to tank well in melee keeping me interested in getting some wraithblades together at some point. Ended up 17-6, winning. Started a second game but ran out of time to had to end it before it really got anywhere but it made me think about something anyway. This army is a bit slow, maybe I should add some speed to it afterall for those types of missions where I have no choice but to try to capture an objective while defending my own to win. So while I'm happy with this list as well I'm going to mess around with ideas for a slightly faster version as well. I do have that wave serpent I'm not even using at the moment painted up for this craftworld. I also like the look of the hornets.

Not sure when, but one day I'm going to have a pair of these in the army somehow.

The one thing I realized as to why your pain scheme makes me hungry......they are looking like "Good n' Plenty" units!

"Your mumblings are awakening the sleeping Dragon, be wary when meddling the affairs of Dragons, for thou art tasty and go good with either ketchup or chocolate. "
Dragons fear nothing, if it acts up, we breath magic fire that turns them into marshmallow peeps. We leaguers only cry rivets!

Are those markers done, or are you planning on doing more to them?

They're done for now, might look at other objective markers too. Can be an interesting side project at times to break up from painting so many wraith units.

Got all these ready for priming now.

Fixed the gaps in the hair on the Kirai farseer. Also swapped out the wraithguard hand to give her a shuriken pistol instead.

And the headless spiritseer.

idea for the list at the moment is to drop the three wraithlords. They're good and I really like them, but the issue is simply that this army is slow and that makes objective based games where I can't simply hang back as an anvil on my own a bit too much of a disadvantage. For the three wraithlords I figured out I can have an upgraded wraithknight with suncannon and scatter laser, 2 wave serpents, 2 dscythe wraithguard squads for them and a third bare bones spiritseer. So while I really like the wraithlord model and intend to have more of them someday still for larger games. I think having the option to switch between this current hard anvil list and one that works more like a sledgehammer is a better idea.

I like the fix on the Kirai, though I'm curious now if you are going to attempt to fix the slight bend in the otherwise headless spiritseer's staff?

I managed to fix the bend (was sidewise, otherwise I'd have just said it was a sabre or something) in one of my Sisters' chainswords, but I imagine it's probably harder on plastic...

Decided to leave the little bend in it. I've straightened it before with water, but it's bent back over time so I'm just going to leave it.

Ah, okay. Yeah, I figured plastic would be harder to do that with, and porbably not worth the effort.

I wish it were plastic, its finecast.

Anyways fixed up the windows on the wave serpent. They looked a bit plain and boring.

Compared to before.

And the Spiritseer is also done now.

Did the sakura from the back because the side bits of this helmet get in the way of it, but I sort of like the look of it when you consider it's a helmet so should be different to the wraith heads so they can see.

Makes sense for a helmet to have decor on sides and back at least, yeah

Got the second wave serpent built already as I speed this army up (gamewise at least ).

Besides the hornets I've also started looking at the nightwing. Really like the look of it so I figure I'll probably get one eventually. I think it'd also look pretty nice having one flying around with an escort of crimson hunters.
