Why thank you. My wood was all washes and dry-brushing too, maybe more layers and steps, but I was starting from grey plastic wood and not wood wood. It's not cheating, it's using the materials to their fullest.

Aww yeah! some stained look, barracks above, tower outside. Looking good! Only suggestion is a walkway for the watch to also man the walls in case

Washing your 'stovepipe' and polishing your 'wood'. Vik, you need to get out more...

Needs a pinup calendar and a painting of dogs playing poker and I think you have it nailed

Nice Video Vik! also reminded me of my old High School days and my German teacher Her Krebbs

I like how the details gives a nice feel that people are actually living here.
The small graveyard, "burzhuika" (the metal stove) and the spilled drinks are the nice touches
I would add a toilet cabin somewhere though

thanks for all the praise mates...that competition was a blast...and the first days afterwards I had to regain my hobby mojo....which I now recovered^^

and you know the old saying...after the game is before the game...so...I've started with my entry of little towers new LoER terrain competition...lookee here:

speaking of... the working title for my entry is "Grubz"...why?...well the theme is called elements ...so wood, water, fire, earth and metal have to be included for the terrain pieces...
funny fact is, there is a Chinese cooking school called five elements... (http://chinesefood.about.com/library/weekly/aa041900a.htm) ... so...my idea was to include every one of the five elements in a two folded way...: first I will use the elements in a direct approach ...use wood and metal and so on to show constructions... and then in a more metaphysical way as this is going to be a grot barbeque grill snack bar based on the five elements cuisine ...kinda....
