Thanks guys I'm glad you like the colourscheme. I was so bored painting metal, so I needed some new basecolour. It maybe pops up another marine at the end of the day, who knows.

That sword is from warhammers chaos knights champion sprue, I got it from a friend who didn't use it.

Ok tony_nids_10 and everyone else how wants to use this painting teqniche for their models, here comes my tutorial to paint the Sons of Bane.
I'm using most vallejo colours, but I will write wich vallejo i'm using. But to paint the metal I'm using Gws boltgun metal and Chainmail. Every colour I thin out with water.
Ok, let's start:

Step1: First you basecoat the model with som white colour(notice:you dont use any spray to my basecoat). After this colour has dried you basecoat the marine with colour vallejo model color pale greyblue. This colour is a little greengreyblue, which is good because I dont want to use a pale white colour as base.

Step2: You put some vallejo game colour black where you want it and where you think it suits.(Dont mind to be so precise in this stage because in step4 you will fix it).

Step3: In this stage you put a yellow mix of vallejo game colour bald moon yellow and Gws Iyanden Darksun. Put this mix on the model two times so you covers good(even over the black miss-spots.

Step4: Now for the fun wash, its a mix of vallejo black 30% and vallejo smokey ink 70%. Swipe it all over the model. When it starts to get dried apply some water on some spot and make it wet again. When you do this you get variations with the wash.

Step5: Ok now for magic, chipping. Use a modelprotector that you get from blisters. when the wash from step4 has dried mix a colour of 50/50 black and vallejos charred brown. Use the protector to applicate the mix. In this step you also make some scar with the pencil where you think it suits.

Step6: Here you go back to the originalcolour: pale greyblue and use it on edges and around the chippingholes and the scars(notice: dont use the paint all the way around the holes and scars, just like you do on the edges).

Step7: Now use the same yellow mix that you used in step3. You dont have to cover all the washed yellow. In this way you got a more dirty yellow. When this colour has dried mix some white with the yellow mix to paint around the chipping and scars in the yellow areas.

Step8: Now for the black details. On the black armour details you highlight with first Vallejos sombre grey and then vallejos wolf grey. On the pouch on the back in the belt use first cold grey and then wolf grey.

Step9: Here you put som charred brown on the pistolholster and the clubholster. Here you also put a mix of vallejos tinny tin and boltgun metal on the pistol and the club. After this you put a wash mixed by black and charred brown. when this has dried put some mix of charred brown and little pale greyblue and highlight the holsters. on the weapon you mix boltgun metal and chainmail. After this put some more white in the brown mix and highlight the holsters once more. On the weapon you apply pure chainmail.

Step10: Use Gws dheneb stone and applied on the skull on the backpack. Miw it then with some white and highlight the skull.

Step11: First you mix some black and vallejos sick green. Apply it to the eyes. then blend it with vallejos livery green and try to highlight the eyes. After this you mix some white and applied a little dot to the eyelens.
When tihs is finished mix boltgun metal with tinny tin and put it on the bolter. When this has dried put some black on the bolters protective parts.
Here you also use the mixed wash(black and brown) on the whole bolter. Let it dry.

Step12ut some mix of boltgun metal and chainmail on the metal parts on the bolter. On the sling you use vallejos dark fleshtone. Let it dry.

Step13: Apply the wash that you used before on the bolter to the sling. When you let the wash dry highlight the bolter with first cold grey and then wolf grey. Paint the metal parts with pure chainmail.

Step14: Wash the base with the bolterwash and let it dry. To make some diffrence on the base use wash made of pure vallejos hot orange and some mix of black and vallejos falcon turquoise. Dot it on the base. When you waiting on these washes to dry you can do the finishing touches on the models sling. Mix dark fleshtone and a little white and highlight it. After this you hoghlight it a little more with the same mix with some more white.

Step15- the finishing: Drybrush the base gently with first cold grey and then wolf grey. Paint the base edge black.
The model is now finished.

I hope you like my tutorial and sorry for the bad english.
And here some new wippics on the lord.

Arakasi- I just used a tool like this:

And a non-sticky plate to work on.

Yeah, I know the sword is big Young_Logan, but I wanted the Daemon prince to just as pyramid head. And you can't do pyramid head without his big sword.

I thought it was finally time for an update, its a very early wip. My first terminator with power flail. He's not going to have a power fist. I'm either sure of the head, comments would help.

The story of my chapter is that they are renegades from Blood angels. I thought that the whole bunch of the marines are marines with the red thirst, but with the help of the gods of chaos managed to control the thirst. How's that?

I think he looks cool, just needs to get some more chaos treatment but since it's a wip I think you will do that? And also, are you going to add a combi bolter to him so you get wsiwg? Maybe a wrist mounted version like the grey knights got.

- good stuff. how about including some vampire counts bits as chaos space vampires?

the head works imo

combi bolta mutating/ bursting out of the fist? or a heavy flamer coming from under?
