Before you see the codex you will see something else new under the sun for Space Wolves. Think in terms of the most glaring current gap in the Space Wolves lineup.
Just incase people haven't seen these.
So a flier then? What else are SW lacking in their lineup?
Yes, it would be a flyer, obviously. I assume this would be like our "Gorka/Morka-naut" type unit. Hopefully it doesn't suck!

Is it bad that I kind of don't care if Space Wolves get a flyer or not? I'd be just as happy getting some skyfire/flakk missiles and some other kind of new toy. Fingers are still permanently crossed in hopes that they become Codex: Vlka Fenryka. And I'm still hoping that these so called "Rune Warriors" are some kind of new anti-psyker shield unit. I'm actually not overly fussed about using psykers anyway. It'd be cool to go against armies that rely on psykers and just nope my way across the field to hit them in the face.

The glaring gap sure sounds like a flyer.
Still the teaser for hour of the wolf has a page with ragnar artwork and a page with headline "the deeds of ragnar blackmane".
Makes me wonder.

Sorry if this was posted already.
There is a new Space Wolf flyer coming next week, that comes with two options. Space Wolves are here!
Please remember that this is still a rumor.
via an anonymous source in Faeit 212
It will come in 2 versions:
First - 215 points
One - assault transport with TL hell frost cannon
Two fire modes:
- s6 ap3, blast, then it forces a Str test. If the test is failed, the enemy dies
- s8 ap1 , heavy 1 - rest is the same
16 models capacity
Heavy Bolters with MMelta or Skyhammer Option
Second: 220 points
6 models capacity
Hell frost cannon (the same as above)
Storm Strike missile
Both flyers have Machine Spirit and Ceramite plating.
The model will cost as much as a storm raven.

I hope this isn't true. I don't care if their points get changed to more closely match Codex Marines as long as they get to keep the Bolter/ BP/ CCW combo.

Space Wolves getting a Flyer would be so mind-numbingly disappointing to me. Just give them the damn Stormraven/Talon and call it a day, on that end.
If they had to get some big dumb new unit, I'd advocate a Monstrous Creature. Not a giant wolf, but maybe something that they capture on Fenris and then harness for warfare, like a giant kraken-esque thing, or something.

Lets not make fun of people for creating dumb names.. GW is MORE than capable of matching if not exceeding childish names for SW stuff.
After all, they do quote Leman Russ as saying He will return during the WOLFTIME. Which is quite possibly the STUPIDEST quote by any primarch in the history of 40k.

Why so if I may ask? I think this is a reference to the Völuspá. You know "Axe-time, sword-time, | shields are sundered, Wind-time, wolf-time, | ere the world fall".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%B6lusp%C3%A1
I think that suits Leman Russ quite good.
