Nurgle Predator Driver with an Infestation
|
I am beginning a Nurgle army and have an idea of how I want them to look. I want a very pale armor (green) with purple/ red postules. I am undecided as to the color of my gun. The main reason for this thread is to help me come up with a scheme and what paints / washes I should use. Could anybody post some models of their Nurgle army and explain the process. i.e. goblin green > sepia wash > rotting flesh. (I have no idea what that paint scheme might look like, but it was a decent example I guess.)
Thank you,
s1gns

I recommend that you look around at other people's posts on here, because multiple people have described their methods within their own plogs, but I don't feel like doing the searching when you could yourself. Cadaver might have described his in his "Cadaver's death guard" post, you'd have to check. I recommend searching "death guard".

I've recently gotten my stuff together and came up with a rusted copper scheme. I'll get pics of it much later tonight.

I find green with brown ink or brown with green ink works well. Since you will be doing green with purple, a brown or chestnut ink might bring the colours together (as together as they would be for nurgle anyway )

Alright, so I was literally dragged from my painting desk and computer for the last day. I have the pics! I just took them, and I did it without flash or natural lighting, so bear that in mind. EDIT: Forgot to add the process. Dwarf Bronze over a Tin Bitz base. Dry-brush everything with Rotting Flesh, then dry-brush the crevisses with Ice Blue. Clean up the surfaces with a heavy dry brushing of Tin Bitz and paint Dwarf Bronze on the raised edges.

What ever you do avoid the "just beause it's nurgle I can slop paint every place"train of thought,I've seen way to many "Nurgle" armies were the owner has taken little to no care in painting simply because for some reason they feel Nurgle =sloppy.
I have found that in genral, reguardless of wich colours you opt to use, multiple layers/washes/highlights yield the best results...remember,your attempting to convey pestilence & horror in your minis, not have them look like some 2nd grade "art" class ran amok through your colection.
