Cracking work from everyone, inspiring to see how much you've all got done in a month! And I'll third/fourth/Nth the cheers to Az for running this whole thing, it's great to spectate on even as a non-participant!

@Carlos: Now I want to see a comic pitting Red Hood and the Outlaws against a horde of the Undead!

Remind me to keep my gob shut next time and not assign myself such a large workload.

While I did manage to get the Lasrifle Section primed and more or less blockpainted, I stumbled on the finer details (belts, rifles and whatnot), so I decided to use another model as a test piece, in the spoiler tags.

Spoiler:

She's now part of the future Tactical Command squad and will become it's Strategos, the gal in charge of dropping down orbital strikes and giving other units helpful buffs to their BS.

I wish I could've gotten more done, but with the increase in hours over at work, whenever I got home I was quite knackered. So, aside from this model done, minus basing and minor points that need tidying up when my hand is steadier, I'm waaaaaay behind on what I pledged to get done.

Well, smack my bottom and call me a bad boy, gonna try and at the very least get the Section Leader, vexillarius and vox operator done.

Thanks for everyone's patience. Here are my final photos of the first half of Dark Angels Squad Dom (10th Company, 1st Squad). I've got about 25 more scouts, but these five are playable on table, so task achieved!

There's some fluff in my blog if anywhere wants to be bored.

Hope you like them. C&C Welcome.

I'm going to the MEdge next month, details to follow.

As usual I got a bit sidetracked as I decided to run a Frostgrave campaign at my club. My warband consists of remnants of the Empire army I planned before WHFB 8th hit and killed any interest I had in the game. The soldiers are Perry WotR infantry which I just rebased and slightly touched up but the wizard and his apprentice (who is an excellent example of why I don't often paint eyes) are repaints.

First up are these two boxes right here!

Admittedly I did crack them open and started gluing and priming Skarbrand at the tail end of January, but whatever!

And if I can reach the goal of having both boxes finished, here's my stretch goal painting projects!

...and if I'm really, REALLY industrious...

I'm going to tackle Khanjira! Wish me luck!

Some great stuff has turned up in the last couple of days. If people could get their January photography finished ASAP it would be great to officially "close" January. We've got photos from 25/35 participants, though I know that Weety has finished stuff for example, and I suspect that there may be a couple of other people who haven't got their photos up so just waiting on the final pics before I close January on Sunday AU time which at worst would be Saturday night USA time with everyone else in between.

Now I've got time to actually read some posts...

Josh - That's a "Monster" alien from Maelstrom's Edge. I may have it wrong, but I believe it's called a Karist Angel. Also both very cool and almost kinda annoying that you've got stuff finished already!

Plastictrees - I hope everything works/worked out well for your wife. I'll hold your Jan update spot open.

TP^DC - great work. I really like the addition of cameoline cloaks to the scouts.

Eh, it's only three models. Expect me to slow down with the next batch.

I didn't back the ME Kickstarter, but I think I will have to get one of those monster angel things to go with the rest of my Lovecraftian horrors.

@JoshInJapan - yep, that's a Karist Mature Angel. It was a definite tipping point to get me to back the Malestrom's Edge Kickstarter. They are on sale now as individual figures so go get one!

@Azazelx - Thanks so much! I figured I would want a camo cloak if I were a scout. But that's because I am a bit of a wimp in real life

Where can I get frosted zombies from? I am kind of hungry..........
