The newer Cold Ones, and Defilers are two that I really have a fondness for. Also, with some conversion, Daemon Princes.

If so, there's one model that just oozes character and badassery to me.

The new skaven character models really are stunning. However, I don't think I'm going to buy one of them 'purely just to paint.'
The models out there that I would consider doing that are:
1) Hector Rex, I did buy him purely just to paint. He does look that frigging awesome.
2) Though not really currently in production, I'd say the Space Hulk Terminators. I have no idea which one to pick though!
3) I haven't bought him yet, though I truly intend to - Battle Brother Artemis from Inquisitor.
