Instructions
Simply post your interest to swap, along with some recent work you have done, along with what army (armies) you are normally paint. If someone is interested, they'll contact you either on the thread or by PM. Conversely, if you see someone's work on the thread that you like, you may contact them the same way. There are no rules for what can be traded, from simple bolter tactical marine up to a Land Raider, and everything in between. It can even be something besides marines, such as our several ork participants have shown, or even objective markers! Once you find a partner (or ten) find out exactly what they are looking for. Some people make deathwatch teams, so ask that a shoulder pad be left off, while others ask that the base be blank so it can fit in with their army. When you complete a trade on both ends, shoot me a pm to let me know and I will add the name behind your own.

At this point there are many GMS Veterans, so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Errr, I guess just ask and see if someone wants play and then figure out the logistics in PM land. I'd like to see the whos and whats up here, we dont need the "I shipped yours tuesday" for everyone to see. But if you need a dance partner I'm game. Might be a good plan to say which brand you play as well.

Was talking to tony_nids_10 , and sparked an idea... I personaly have a few extra SM Sergeant pieces and was wondering, for those who enjoy fluff, interested in swapping SM Sergeants as "guest" squad sergeants. I know those are a bit harder pieces to come buy and like i said, it was a sparked idea. But yeah I'm currently repainting my SM's from ages of non use, so give me a hollar and i'll set a marine aside.

@segef: I love that idea, and id love to toss my hat in that ring (eventually)! I dont have any sergeant bitz right now, but im planning to build a Marine army for the Hobby Jihad next year (a friend of mines "Army in a weekend" event he runs every year) so ill definitely have sarge bits in the future!

I like this idea alot, and I think the sarge spin is beyond awesome. My only problem is I tend to play specific SM chapters- Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Dark Angels- and not a DYI chapter, are people less interested in my involvement as a result?

Anyone interested shoot me a PM and we'll hammer out the details/exchange pic's of painted works.

i would love to do this, i just started SM (i played them when i was 12 before moved on to IG and those SM have been lost in trades, moves and various boxes of old models) i will be getting a new Tac squad set soon and will def set one aside.

I think I may have opened one hell of a can of worms. I think it can be on a person to person basis on what is exchanged (Sgt or otherwise). I know Git and Styro are doing Objectives for eachother.

I live down there most of the year when classes are in session (and as long as im able to otherwise). I get whisked away to the wastes of Cleveland when summer strikes or a holiday.

As stated before, Im open to the Sergeant exchange. I just need to get bits for em! Till then Im restricted to my Tacs. Ive got 7 or 8 fully painted (all AoBR) and 2 or 3 others unpainted.
Come to think of it, could even build an objective or two! hehe... what a fun project!

Ill admit that there'll definitely be a bit of a struggle to separate me from my minis I get rather attached to the little guys.
But yes. I suppose Im 100% in on this. My Turtles are going to good homes xD

Cool, Im about 30 min south of canton, so about the same regardless of where you are, lol.
The way Porkuslime (who you may know, hes in your neighborhood) and I did it was that he send me a model, and I painted it up. I did the same with Gitsplitta, so that is a posibility as well. Not to be "elitest" but Im not a fan of AoBR marines, I use them to try new paintjobs on. Id rather send the parts to make a "real" marine. I'd recomend people trade same for same, so people dont feel ripped off.

I am game Whalemusic. I've already got a good idea on how I can fit them in fluff wise. When I am back on my other comp I'll post up a picture, or you can check my gallery.

I'll have to check my extras and see what I can create to send your way.

And as for the exchange for sure Serg. for Serg. and Marine for Marine... i didn't mean to have it sound like un'equal exchanges.

Excellent idea. Luckily, I don't have time to contribute at the moment - or I'd have to convince someone to swap for one of my Da Dark Angelz. Dey tinkz dez beakies, and have propa "gin seed" and "progoid lands" and everythin! Does that count?

I think I'm going to go buy a tac squad or for the soul purpose of this project! I think it is a great idea and will end up being alot of fun for the people involved. By the time we are all done we could just field them as a deathwatch squad... Maybe I'll do that

My Deathwatch project I should be making my own bloggity for here within a week, and soliciting volunteers.

I would be up for a swap, but, like others, would need to lay in a supply of guys to work on for others.
