Thanks Noodles ! Yeah almost 1/2 way thru chipping the LandRhinos

It's a 40k inspired scratch build based on a Stug. Scratch build is by OneManNoodles and is spot on !

So , some of you die-hard Camo fans may remember the good old days when I got to paint Camo marines and overly chip and weather tanks.

Well its not happening anytime soon !

My boy has arranged a 40k game with his mate this week, no problem UNTIL when the play boards come out of the garage loft they have a good way been eaten by some hideous Skaven creature.
So I'll be mostly patching them up and setting lots of traps !

This weekend me and the boy played a Homebrew version of Warhammer 1st and 4th Editions on a Dungeon type quest to free some Dwarf miners from a Skaven invasion.
The adventurers cut down most of the Clan Rats but only the Ninja , Gimli and a Empire Lord survived to save the Dwarfs after a (proxy) Vermin Lord turned up !

The boy and me started his Vermin Lord proper too , it was a bribe instead of Easter eggs , he hasn't quite got his head around letting the glue dry and building it in stages to make it simpler to paint yet but I think he's slowly beginning to understand !

I've made a simple two part push mould for the head base so hopefully we can use all head options and will magnetise that and the arms hopefully.

All that table and terrain look amazing! that's how it should be done! :-) cinematic, thought provoking and added realism offset by brilliant paint jobs and exposed cinder blocks ;-)

Thanks Nerdy, I was a little bit miffed when I found the boards had been chewed up by mice during the winter, but managed to patch them up in time for Little H's game.

Cinder block wood sheds / kids play rooms are for winners !

By the way, Little H loves the Hammer-er's and can't wait to see the Dwarfs !

That looks like a fantastic game there Big H, must have been a real pleasure to knock it out with Little H.

Sounds like an excellent day! Nothing like the traditional dad duties to make one appreciate life.

Cool, glad LittleH likes the guys! tell him to keep his eyes peeled in the next couple of days for some Dwarf updates I am aiming to get them finished this week or at least 90% done for him! shame the mice nibbled your boards, do you need any more flooring puzzle bits etc? I can send some back with the models if you need?

That would be awesome Nerdy, you're doing such a fantastic job with that random selection of mini's !

Any thoughts how you will tackle the Slann warrior ( old Citadel frog head thing ! ) Bright green Jungle frog colours ???

I really do need to re-appraise my Space Hulk boards, but to be honest I'm not sure i need the flooring , I'm in the process of casting up some silicon moulds of some flooring so should be good now for.. well… forever !!! :-)

Keep them for local trades !

Only 3 figures you light weights I need to be 6789 to finish painting my stuff, that's just the undercoat

Nice layout where is the turret from looks like it might be from Shapeways ?

I still consider buying marines because of yours .......... I hat you for that

Just noticed the battle standard looks great that head works well, plus I like the change of banner might have to borrow that one

Haha quite possibly , unless I have a proper dig about in the attic and make us both weep till we're 180 !

Mate , you need to sell some stuff on eBay and bring your average down!!!
Then you can buy more !

Yeah , the quad is off shape ways , it's a little small for what I wanted but I was too lazy to scratch build !

If I was to start marines I would go with a box of grey knights mixed with Anvil Black ops, that would be pretty cool.
Or just make one "true scale" squad from Tartaros terminators !

The first part sounded like the misses she keeps telling me I have to much "plastic crap" and should sell some of it
I might run the second part past her and see what she thinks

I thought I had seen it on there but was not sure looks ok to me but I guess you know what you wanted size wise.
Have you considered just bulking the bottom section of the turret it might make it look bigger without to much grief ?

It's the Anvil Black Ops that you did that got my interest, they had a more military feel to them rather than that galactic space hero steroid induced crap which is what they are basically

After a while of "buy and sell" it becomes a self funding hobby ..... Honest !

The quad isn't bad at all mounted on some plasticard shims and a 40mm base, its just I would have preferred a two man turret with a gunner and loader. I almost sawed it in half and shimmed it out but went for the easy option again !

The black ops range are really very good, with a few extra bits and some spare bodies ( which Joel will sell as extras if you ask nicely! ) you can customise for ever
